Just a few days before its launch on November 4, the feature list of the 2025 Hyundai Venue has been leaked! While the top-end HX 10 variant will be the flagship of the range, it is the lower variants which will also be sought after by buyers who wish to only have the essential features for a more affordable price.
For these buyers, the HX 5 variant makes for a prime candidate. But what does it get? Let's take a look:
Although it may not have the glamour of the top variants, the HX 5 variant does not feel cheap at all. Here is a summary of how its exterior is like:
At the front, the connected LED strip now swaps out for a faux white unit, while the headlamps are now the halogen projector type. For the side profile, it misses out on chrome door handles, roof rails and the 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, which are replaced by steel wheels with grey covers.
Inside the HX5 variant, it still gets the dual 12.3-inch screen setup and a dual-tone beige and grey dashboard, although it now misses out on armrests for the front and rear passengers. The new steering wheel with the ‘Morse code’ Hyundai logo remains, although without the leather wrap.
In terms of the technology on offer, it gets a voice-activated electric sunroof, keyless entry, manual AC, push-button start, Type-C charging ports and power-adjustable outside rearview mirrors. Along with these, it also retains the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well.
Safety-wise, the HX5 variant loses out on the Level 2 ADAS suite but still gets features such as 6 airbags, electronic stability control, rear parking camera, rear parking sensors and 3-point seatbelts with reminders for all passengers. It also gets all-wheel disc brakes as standard for more confidence.

Under the hood, the HX5 will be available in all powertrain combinations offered with the Venue. These include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
The latter two are also available with automatic gearbox options in addition to the standard manual transmission. Here are the detailed specifications of all powertrains:

We expect the Venue to be priced between Rs 7.5 to 14 lakh (ex-showroom) when it is launched on November 4.
The 2025 Hyundai Venue will compete with other subcompact SUVs like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Skoda Kylaq and Mahindra XUV 3XO.

While the top-end HX10 looks very appealing, the HX 5 is more likely to be the mainstay of the Venue range, given that it offers all the essential features without the extra bling and will be a lot more affordable as well.
Now, how attractive it will turn out to be depends on the pricing, which we should have by next week. Stay tuned to this space for more details as and when they are revealed.
