Jeep has released details of three new all-electric SUVs.
New Jeep Avenger compact electric SUV to debut in Europe in early 2023.
Jeep to introduce Wagoneer S and Recon EVs in North America in 2024.
The Stellantis group aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2038.
As a part of that plan, the group is also planning to only sell EVs in Europe by 2030.
The Stellantis group, including all its sub-brands, have committed to cutting down emissions in order to achieve a net zero objective by 2038. To put that into action, the group is planning to transition to 100 per cent all-electric vehicles in Europe by 2030. As a part of this big plan, Jeep has announced four new all-electric SUVs for North America and Europe by 2025.
The SUVs will come under the 4xe lineup of Jeep electric SUVs and the American SUV giant aims to become a leading electric SUV brand in the world. Carlos Tavares, Stellantis CEO, said, “Across our portfolio of 14 beloved brands we are offering exhilarating electrified products as we push to launch an additional 28 all-new battery electric vehicles through 2024. We’re confident that our upcoming launches will thrill our customers and keep them loving the great American brands they’ve grown up with.”

Currently, Jeep offers the Wrangler 4xe which is the best-selling plug-in hybrid in the US. Meanwhile, the brand also showcased the first images of three upcoming EVs – Jeep Recon, Jeep Avenger and the Wagoneer S.

Jeep has not revealed many technical details on the three SUVs. The Avenger is a compact SUV targeting a range of 400km and the Recon is an off-road ready all-electric sibling to the Wrangler.

Meanwhile, the all-new Wagoneer S looks like a luxury SUV with a sleek design language that is targeting 600PS and 643km of range. The regular Grand Wagoneer is also going to be electrified too for an estimated combined range of over 800km.

The Recon and the Wagoneer S will make their debut in North America in 2024 before being introduced in other regions. The Grand Wagoneer 4xe will also arrive in 2024. Meanwhile, the Jeep will launch the Avenger in Europe next year post its debut at the Paris Motor Show. Given that Jeep plans to have 4xe variants for its entire lineup by 2025, we can expect one to be offered in India, too, in the next couple of years.
