Q. What's the real world mileage of EcoSport (diesel)? Is there any problem in ecosport engine?
18.9K Views Follow Question Add Answer51 AnswersDebanjanchaudhuri | 4 years agoThe 1.5 L diesel is one of the best diesel engines in India. It is time tested & very reliable. It is very smooth, very little engine noise creeps in to the cabin. It is great on mileage and easy on the pocket to maintain. Most importantly, its really punchy, never short on power. You will enjoy driving it. All this I am saying from my own experience of driving the 1.5 D EcoSport for last 3 years and 30,000 Km. If you are asking about the mileage: City - 14-16 Kmpl, Highways - 19-22 Kmpl, depending on your driving style, traffic & road conditions.
Giftson | 4 years agoMy 2013 ecosport diesel has done 130000km and is still running on all four original wheel bearings, original brake and also clutch plates. Had an issue with engine at 90000km. It was done free by ford. Changed rear shock absorber at 120000. I keep it steady at 90kmph with minimal braking and lot of coasting and achieve 22 to 24 km per litre on the highway consistently. Awesome build quality. Everything above is true and can be verified. Recommend ford always.
K | 4 years agoI have Ecosport diesel bought new in 2014. Driven just 55000 kms. I got mileage 13-14 per kmpl in city and 15-16 kmpl on highway in winters non AC. The Maximum mileage I noticed is 17kmpl. After I bought it I was told in Ford workshop that the Maximum mileage will be 15-16kmpl irrespective of Ford claims... But the build quality is solid and driving experince id superbbb.
Udai | 4 years agoI have driven my Ecosport aprrox 40000 km right now, and have faced no issues regarding the engine. It is tough build and will last atleast a comple of lakh kilometers. I also have a 2014model ecosport which I have driven approx 150000kms and still the performance of both the cars is no different. You will get a mileage of 16-17 in the city and 21+ on the highway.
Vish | 5 years agoThere's no problem with ecosport's engine..mileage is around 19.5 in highways and 15 in city. I've been driving ecosport for so long that it ran 103000 kms so far with no issues in engine or transmission .. car's great with the same performance and riding quality as when bought new
Varun | 3 years agoI have got a 2014 ford ecosport which has clocked 110000kms and it's still got the original clutch plates. Front shocks have been changed as I have travelled across India on various terrains. Love my car and the best part is I have still got the company tyres on it which are MRF zv2k the threading on them are still ON as its a hard rubber tyres they don't wear out.
Alok | 4 years agoAs per my experience, ES- D, mileage in the city (if you drive for mileage ) Max upto 18.5 KMPL, generally between 15 to 16. On highways - (if you drive for mileage within 100 KM/H ) Maximum upto 20, Generally 18 to19.
