The AMT on the Tigor is offered only with the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine which produces 85PS of power and 114Nm of torque. This is the same engine that is offered with the manual transmission-equipped variants of the car. The Tigor is also offered with a 1.05-lire diesel engine which produces 70PS of power and 140Nm torque. However, it is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission.

  • Q. How is tigore amt ?

Tata Tigor is equipped with 5-speed AMT option in its Revotron XTA and XZA trim. Tigor AMT is offered only with the 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 85PS of power and 114Nm of torque. It is the same engine seen on the manual variants. Tata claims an average of 20.3 kmpl for its AMT variant. The ride quality has to be one of the Tigor’s biggest highlights. The suspension offers a very good combination of ride and handling, especially the diesel, which runs on 14-inch wheels. It soaked bumps and potholes extremely well, and while both versions do not lose their composure over bad roads, the diesel offers a better ride with lesser up-and-down or side-to-side movements. The petrol uses 15-inch wheels and tends to cause more movement on broken roads, though ride quality is very good. Do take a test drive in order to judge your driving comfort.

  • Q. Which is best manual or automatic - Tigor?

If you'll be driving more in heavy city traffic then we suggest you to opt for Automated Manual Transmission(AMT) which are easier to use and more comfortable for the driver, while Manual Transmission vehicles are less expensive more involved & are more fun to drive on highways. Manual transmissions offer much greater control over the vehicle's driving dynamics. There's really no substitute for the driving experience and level of control over the vehicle that a manual transmission can offer. Apart from it, if you are more like the average driver who simply wants to get from one place to another in the most efficient and comfortable way possible, go with the AMT.
