  • Q. Does the Tata Nexon AT have an automatic transmission?
    Ramesh
    Ramesh | 8 months ago

Nexon is a 5 seater and not so comfortable with 3 persons sitting at the rear seat. It has both variants, Manual or Automatic. Automatic one (called AMT) is not good on slopes and do have some issues. I do not have any experience of Manual Drive - but must be good when driver has control on Race, Clutch Gear and 3 Options of Throttle (Economy, City and Sport). For tall Driver, not easy to get into the Nexon, unless, the driver pushes back to have enough leg space This make difficult for tall person to sit behind driver seat because of short leg space. I am 6 feet tall and experienced above.Best regardsRamesh

  • Q. Which is better Nexon Automatic or Brezza automatic
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 10 months ago

If we talk about Brezza, it’s so good that we’d recommend you chose the automatic over the manual. Not only for the convenience but also because in doing away with the annoying surge in power it’s actually better to drive in the city. And that in our books makes up for the slight drop in efficiency and the increase in price. The Nexon AMT is a good compromise between the convenience of an automatic and the crudeness of an AMT. The shifts are smooth and quick at city speeds as well as while cruising, but tend to get a little jerky under acceleration. The best part is that in real-world conditions, the mileage is not too far off from the manual’s figures. That said, it’s not the best AMT out there and from our experience with both, we can say that the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza AMT gives you a much smoother driving experience. So finally, if the convenience of the AMT ranks high up among your priorities, we’d recommend you to take a test drive of the Vitara Brezza AMT before making your decision. If you appreciate the Nexon for the feature packed, great compact SUV that it is and spend a lot of time stuck in traffic, then the Tata Nexon AMT may be a worthwhile option.

No ... Nexon doesnt offer 4*4 capability.Tata should plan to get a variant though.. It would be very impressive. But Nexon is a passenger car not a heavy duty utility vehicle, so it will never arrive according to me

    Mayank | 1 month ago

I am having the XZ+ manual variant and I am getting mileage of around 16-18kmpl on highways and 12-15kmpl in City normal traffic and in extreme traffic its 9-11kmpl extreme. Mileage depends on the Road conditions, traffic conditions and mostly on Driving style, Drive on the Economy mode in city and extreme traffic you will get a better mileage.

  • Q. I have a Tata Nexon XZA+ AMT Petrol, 4 months old and total driven upto 3800kms till date. The problem I am facing is of the mileage which is extremely low. In daily city driving, where I drive 15 km in 1 hour, I am getting an average of 6.3 kmpl in city mode. Will my mileage increase after the car is done 5000 to 6000 km or not?

Dont go with the Odometer reading it shows anything. Please check the mileage with litres of fuel like fill 10 litres when the low fuel indication appears and than check how much it runs till the low fuel indication appear again. My car is giving 15-18kmpl after first service. Not having any issues.Drive your car on economy mode when you are driving in city please avoid driving on half clutch. you will definitely see change in mileage. If this doesn't work then please consult the service centre and tell them about the problem.

  • Q. I am bit confused in between Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue. Which one is good within 11 lakh budget? Also, I am looking for the automatic version, good features and powerful engine.
    Balajee
    Balajee | 2 months ago

I was very excited about venue. One saw on road I was disappointed and my first impression was it is not a suv. . Venue design and look is very disappointed me. However it has more features than Nexon. But many features of Venue is rarely used. Interior and cabin space is also disappointed me. My suggestions go for Nexon.

  • Q. Is the automatic in Tata Nexon smooth?
    Ravin
    Ravin | 9 months ago

I used normal automatic toyota camry for over 10 years, In AMT I do not get that type of smoothness. I think all AMT cars performance of the technology is same. Now (2000 Plus KMs), I got adjusted to Nexon AMT and feel it is ok in terms of smoothness.
