Q. How is the performance of Manual Transmission Petrol Fortuner vs Diesel Manual transmission. I could not get the top speed, and what time it takes for stoping distance 0-100 time etc?

The Toyota Fortuner is offered in two engine options. A 2694cc Petrol engine which churns out 163.7bhp@5200rpm and a 2755cc diesel engine which unleashes 174.5bhp@3400rpm. The luxury of a petrol engine was escalated with the four-cylinder engine which sits quiet and smooth idle. The use of dual variable valve timing helps with the vast and punchier response of the engine. The flow of punch lags in the mid-range just before the engine reaches the 4000 rpm mark, heading on to a near 5800rpm limiter. The engine noise is audible at the high rpms. When it comes to the Fortuner focused diesel engine, the 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine did not disappoint when it comes to power and performance. Here the engine is in a more potent state of tune, the six-speed manual version generating 420Nm. This 2.8-litre diesel engine performs at its best between 2-3000rpm with enough usable power even past the 4000rpm mark. The top speed and braking figures of the vehicle haven't been tested yet. Stay tuned.
Toyota Fortuner is available with a 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and a 2.7-litre four-cylinder petrol unit. The petrol engine is available with 2WD configuration only while the diesel engine gets both 2WD and 4WD.
