Since Maruti will be discontinuing the diesel engines from April 2020 onwards, it is most unlikely for the XL6 to get a diesel engine. The premium MPV can be had with a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre engine that makes 105PS of power and 138Nm of peak torque.

As of now there is no possibility. further Maruti is easing out the diesel version in all formats

Though the carmaker has not deviated from its announcement to discontinue diesel models altogether in the BS6 era, it seems larger models could continue to get a diesel engine. As a camouflaged version of Maruti’s MPV had been spied testing a BS6-compliant diesel engine. The spied Ertiga featured the DDiS diesel badge and it also had a sticker indicating that it was running a BS6 emissions test.
