    As a thumb 👍 rule, automatics will always,,give lower mileage than manual variant, also automatics are costlier by ₹1 lakh over the manual variant & also expensive for maintenance & replacement of automatic Gear box.Maruti has come up with AMT ( automated manual transmission) AMT gives same mileage as the automatic transmission & are also very cheaper to maintain but AMT comes at a premium of ₹80 K over the manual variant.Now last but not the least, I will personally recommend you to dump Swift & go for kia seltos either the petrol or diesel variants with manual or automatic transmission. Kia seltos does not have AMT. Now seltos is where the real action is. You get the base model of Kia seltos both diesel & petrol at ex showroom price of ₹9.68 to 9.75 lakh.
