The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has been one of the nicest 200cc motorcycles in India. It is sharp and agile while maintaining a friendly power delivery. It is powered by a 197.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that makes 20.5PS of power and 16.8Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and the lack of a sixth gear limits its touring potential. The ARAI claimed mileage of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is 50.70 kmpl. In our fuel efficiency tests, the BS6 RTR 200 4V delivered 50.70kmpl in the city and 42.58kmpl out on the highway. As for the engine oil, the standard oil offered at the service center is the best suitable engine oil for the bike and we'd recommend you to continue with that. Moreover, the difference between the normal petrol and power petrol is of the octane value. The normal petrol has a lower octane value and is used by most of the vehicle in India. Power petrol, on the other hand, has a higher octane value and it increases the performance and fuel efficiency of your vehicle. However, the difference is marginal and if you are willing to pay the premium, you may use the power petrol. Lastly, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of comfort and compatibility. Its a feature rich bike, Aggressive looking and gives you a good road appearance. But to be very honest those 3 modes are pretty much useless, Those are not as effective as you’d think, The other downside of this bike is that it lacks in 6th gear so someone who loves to ride the bike at top end wouldn’t be satisfied.Someone who thinks top end is important should better go with its competition ns200.Other than that i guess its better in all aspects compared to its competitors.

This is my honest review after using the bike for 34000 km in 2 years 6 months of span. Bikes performance is as expected. But before buying, everyone should think once for aftersales support, which is worst in case of TVS motors. After every service, which I've done at every 3000kms. I was in love with the Apache 200 4v since it was launched in our market, which forced me to buy the one. But I regret my decision of buying a TVS vehicle. Build quality of the bike will remain sustainable for up to 2 years. After that, it will start shedding parts one by one. Last I will advise you to think before buying the one. Don't make mistakes that I've made in my past.
