There is no doubt in this tht KTM is highly reputed company but I want to share my experience, I have ktm rc390 and have done hardly 29000 km on it. You can check me service records, all services are before time.. but my bike has started leaving black smoke. It has just done 29000km and leaving black smoke. It's engine oil level decrease drastically.I have give my bike in ktm service station, total cost is above 50000 Rs. That too it l take month to get repaired. Once u have purchased this bike, there is no good support from KTM. Every one is just looting money from you. You can just imagine the quality of engine which starts burning engine oil just after 29000 km.

Jo | 4 years agoBoth are powerful performance bikes...they are made to do drift or race..drift bi Duke 390 with supetmoto mode in which you can unlock rear abs for drifting lowers..can be used for short commute not touring..Rc 390 is a proper race track beast for leaning in the track..ultimate midrange..handling...which one is better? buy according to your needs...but Duke does all what rc does and more with supetmoto mode...
Farhan | 5 years agoIt totally depends on what you need, if you are on streets or into stunts, duke is a better option, it has more features, better console and is more comfortable. But if you a speed lover, track person or into cornering just like me, RC is a better option as it is faster ther than duke beacause of the aerodynamics and the riding position. RC gets more agressive as it has less wind blast. Both share the same 373cc engine but in a drag you might see RC leading. Where as on the other hand duke is much comfortable because of it's upright riding position, but remember you get more wind blast and it slows you down. Duke is better for long rides where in RC is not. Now you have to decide what you want, more aggressive power or comfort and features.
Cool | 4 years agoBased on your needs.... rc is sporty focused, duke is naked street king, both has its ups and downs in terms of seating position, but it all depends wholly on your interest. i got my RC, and maintained it so well, i use it for both commuting and touring, that much great it is. its a yoga bike basically, once you ride it, you can never ever find another bike that can satisfy you in this 300 cc class today
Anshul | 5 years agoTo be honest... If you ask which is a better vehicle in terms of performance, handling, controlling and stability with road grip... RC390 is much better than Duke 390.Now, if you are looking for latest features such as TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity which allows you to receive and decline calls from handlebar itself.. change songs.. increase & decrease volume etc. then Duke 390 is the best choice... also, it offers you the sitting posture which is both commited also and relaxed as well... whereas in RC390 its only commited riding position which May give you back pain and wrist pain if you are not used to riding sport bikes.
Bharat | 4 years agoDepends on your riding style and use. But generally the Duke is better for long rides where your stance is upright. The RC is designed for racing and is circuit oriented, therefore, as it is a completely lean forward posture, it is good only for short rides of a couple of hours or so.
Mahendra | 4 years agoAs it really matters btw both machines are equivalent, and are twins one smooth like flash while other hulk like design it might sound odd but yes that's what I think. Now if you are track based person then you can go for RC 390 or love something comfortable then duke. But personally I've always been RC lover but it doesn't means that I'm against duke but still do not like it.
AqibYaqoob | 5 years agoDuke 390 and RC 390 have same engine i.e 390CC but Duke 390 has more loaded technology compared to RC 390..The difference between them is RC is track bike and meant for racing and track purpose with its areodynamic design. While as Duke is completely Naked and for city and touring purpose. You can also use Duke for racing with no issues as both bikes have Metzler tyres.
Farhan | 5 years agoDuke 390 would be a better option, as RC is more track focused bike, and duke is meant to be a street monster. Due to RC's riding position you may not like it for city or day to day rides. But duke has a upright position which makes it more comfortable and efficient om streets.
