    It would be unfair to give a verdict here since the resale value depends on certain factors such as physical condition of the vehicle, kilometers driven, popularity of the model, number of owners, etc. Moreover, Ather Energy has announced a unique buyback programme for the 450X. Ather says it’ll buy back the 450X from customers for Rs 85,000 at the end of 3 years IF the customer wants to part ways with the scooter.     I don’t believe anyone in their right mind will purchase a say 7 year old electric scooter whereas there is good resale value even for a 10 year old petrol scooter. Electric vehicle consumers are very aware of the battery condition and after 5 years its almost dead. If the owner has to replace the battery he has to shell out another 50k then there is no meaning for resale value.

    But if you get it at a good price, changing the battery will make it as good as a new vehicle unlike a petrol scooter.
