Q. Is it comfortable for long rides, like 100 KMs non stop? And how is gear shifting? I have heard some problems in 2 or 3 gear - V15?

Yusri | 6 years ago2 ReplyHI Vinayak! Yes it is very comfortable for a long ride with a wide seating and handle bar angle which you can adjust accordingly based on your preference. Gear shifting is slipping sometimes. Stuck in free position. But that's normal if you push the gear lightly. Just make sure you use specified engine oil as recommended by the factory or of better quality. Just remember the bike is for leisure ride at 100km/hr normal speed, and can go to 110km/hr in short period for overtaking. If you intent to drive it at higher speed, just be prepared to spend some money for modification. Engine oil circulation to the top section of the engine block is very poor. Thats all I can say for now.
Manish | 5 years ago0 ReplyActually It is very comfortable for any of the long rides without a pillion seat. with pillion it may feel heavy and exhausting after a quite a time. Gear shifter feels sometimes twitchy in heavy traffic. The gear ratios for this motorcycle have been kept small by bajaj, so we have to shift gears at lower speeds. we can not stretch or rev too much for any of the gear. it's best to shift gears in shorter speed ranges and speed up in fourth and fifth gears.
Albert | 5 years ago0 ReplyHonestly I suggest for city commutes. As comfort in this vehicle is not bad I have driven 130km a single stretch, But I never received comfortable ride on this. Gears Bajaj has a s****d mechanism 40% of time it goes false netural, gear range very very low after 60kmph vehicle starts crying out loud of an extra gear. But vehicle harshly reved never notices that cry for the extra gear.2nd to 3rd gear never felt any major issues gliding there
Eagle | 8 years ago4 ReplyHey there! Yes, you can take Bajaj V15 for long rides. I have been riding around for quite a time now, including the 900 km Ride in 24 hours which I did, with only little tea and pee breaks. You can easily cruise at the speed of 80 kph and can touch 100 kph too while overtaking. However its not a bike to cruise at 90 or 100 kph to be honest. It has shorter gear ratios. It performs well on the mountains too.
Bhavin | 6 years ago1 ReplyIts performance and comfortable in long ride is ok/average. Not bad.And no any problems/issues with gear shift. If you want to buy this bike you need to maintain its services accordingly.
Clinton | 6 years ago1 ReplyYes.there is really a minute problem with gear shifting. Shifting is not smooth always...in rare cases you may experience double gear ahiftying while shifting from 1 to 2
Krishnachandran | 7 years ago0 ReplySee, you can go long drives in any bike you want. I dont think its good to go for 100km non-stop in this bike. And that too depends on the roads. If its a pleasant road, u surely can travel that long. Or you will have to take atleast one break at 75 - 70 kms.For me i have not felt any gear issues.
Anupam | 7 years ago2 ReplyYou can travel 100 kms without any technical glitches. The default seat is not suitable for constant driving over 45 mins, back starts getting stiff. You need to add some cushioning to the seats or make some adjustments. I went 300 kms with my brother without any problems
Anupam | 8 years ago3 ReplyYes. I have covered 252 kms in 7 hrs during a road trip with a couple of intermittent small breaks (10 to 30 mins). The bike was stable at 95 kmph and I even pushed it to 105 kmph without much problems. Had an adult pillion throughout.
Sayan | 6 years ago1 Reply100 km will be a stressful journey if you ride over 60kmph . There are so many vibration everywhere. You should look for cb shine or xblade
