Suzuki Burgman Street Latest Updates

Suzuki has hiked the price of the Burgman Street by Rs 1,800. The maxi-styled scooter is now priced at Rs 79,700 (ex-showroom Delhi). This is the first price hike that the scooter has received since the launch of the BS6 version in February. The updated Burgman Street 125 now gets two new paint options -- Burgandy and the MotoGP livery. The MotoGP edition, which was shown at Auto Expo 2020, has not yet been launched, but is likely to be a bit more expensive than the standard options.

The updated 124cc motor now makes 8.7PS at 6750rpm and 10Nm at 7000rpm. While the power output is similar to the outgoing model, torque is down by 0.2Nm. At 110kg, the BS6 Burgman Street is 2kg heavier than the older model. It employees telescopic suspension at the front and a hydraulic monoshock at the rear. Braking is managed by a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the rear. CBS (Combined Braking System) comes as standard.

The Burgman Street competes with the Honda Grazia, Hero Maestro 125, TVS NTorq 125, Honda Activa 125, the Yamaha Fascino 125 and the Aprilia SR 125.

Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Burgman Street

Q. I had a confusion between Burman Street or Activa6G I had Royal Enfield 350 with me - NTORQ?
  • Both the scooters are good enough and have their own forte. If we talk about Honda Activa 6G, the new list of updates on India’s most popular scooter have made the Activa 6G a more exciting proposition than before. However, the Activa 6G still misses out on some basic features which should have been standard by now. Also, it has metal body and better brand value too. On the other hand, Suzuki Burgman Street ticks all the right boxes of performance, refinement and the even more important fuel efficiency while offering a balanced ride and handling package. It also offers a more mature and relaxed ride experience. The high price tag, however, is one thing that’ll hold back price-conscious buyers, especially when there are plenty of options in the 125cc scooter segment. The Suzuki Burgman Street is perfect for those interested in a reasonably practical European maxi-style scooter. You may compare both the scooters according to their variants too. Do take a test ride in order to clear your all doubts. Check out authorised dealership details.
Q. Can Honda Grazia be compared with Suzuki Burgman Street? If yes, then tell the best USPs between Grazia & Burgman?
  • Both the scooters are good enough and have their own forte. If we talk about Honda Grazia, it comes with an ACG silent starter, Idle Stop System and external fuel-filler cap. Offers 13 percent (claimed) better fuel efficiency. The BS6 Grazia 125 steps it up a notch with its 2020 update. It's more practical, feature-packed, reliable and overall a better scooter. On the other hand, Suzuki Burgman Street ticks all the right boxes of performance, refinement and even more important fuel efficiency while offering a balanced ride and handling package. It also offers a more mature and relaxed ride experience. The high price tag, however, is one thing that’ll hold back price-conscious buyers, especially when there are plenty of options in the 125cc scooter segment. The Suzuki Burgman Street is perfect for those interested in a reasonably practical European maxi-style scooter whereas the Honda Grazia 125 is good for those who want a sporty, lightweight scooter packed with features. You may compare both the scooters according to their variants too. Do take a test ride in order to clear your all doubts. Check out authorised dealership details.
  • Yes, Grazia is 10,000 rupees cheaper than Burgman

Q. Which one is best between Tvs ntorq & suzuki burgman?
  • The throttle response of NTorq is sharp and there no vibrations even at the very top of the rev range. In fact, it is one of the very few scooters in India which can go above 100 kmph and we did see the NTorq touching the three digit mark on multiple occasions. But with the extra weight, the NTorq did lose out to the Burgman Street in outright acceleration. But the NTorq has a much better top end when compared to the Burgman Street. In terms of manoeuvrability, it is the NTorq, which feels easier to handle in traffic. You just feel a bit conscious of the bulk of the Burgman Street when filtering through traffic. The NTorq offers better ride quality than the Burgman Street. It has the right amount of balance. It takes on potholes and bumps confidently and is eager when showed a corner too. The Burgman Street loves corners; it is easy to dip into a corner and can hold its line too. But the ride quality is slightly stiffer than we would have liked. Definitely not a deal-breaker though.
  • Burgman Street is powered by a 124.3cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine produces 8.7PS of power and 10.2Nm of torque which returns a claimed mileage of 53.5 kmpl. On the other hand, NTORQ 125 comes with 124.79 cc single cylinder, 4-Stroke, OHC engine which delivers 9.4 PS/ 10.5 Nm. As for the suspension on the Burgman, it felt a bit on the stiffer side but not uncomfortable in any way. Braking isn’t great either as it lacks feel and bite, although CBS, which comes in as standard, helps shed speeds safely. While, NTORQ 125 has better suspension system and 12 inch tyres rear rear and front which gives better handling and comfortable ride. NTORQ 125 delivers slightly more power whereas, Burgman Street is better fuel efficient and light weight. it"s an awesome machine with a beautiful styling, features, sitting posture, wide seating space, nice cruiser footrest and a beautiful power.but there are some demerits also like*thin rear tyre results to slip off in any type of muddy or wet road in many situations. (THE MAJOR DEMERIT)*switches installed for the side lamps/indicators and headlamp/headlight are kinky to command after some month of ride as i saw in my machine.but at last other than the thinness of the rear tyre the overall machine is awesome to ride and as a rider i enjoys to ride it in my daily life routines.regards,SAUD NAFEES

I had a major accident with my burgman in the month of December . When after fully repaired , on 14th Feb , March , 7 kg raksack and 85 kg guy sitting behind me , we went to coorg from Bengaluru , that is 250 km and came came back forth to Bengaluru , not a single issue I face with the power Ran smooth , not a single engine issue I faced . Till now , it's one of the best scooty I have bought , value for money , mileage 53 , not a single backpain or any issues . Best part is you can comfortably mouth your leg of the forward footrest .Over all awesomeThank you Suzuki for such a product.

Lovely ride, Suzuki Burgman 125 is very good, and comfortable for ling rides as well as daily city.I am completely satisfied with its overall amazing performance. The SEP technology by Suzuki increases its fuel efficiency without compromising on performance. I easily across 97kmph with burgy on highways obviously. And talking about highway rides, its fuel efficiency also increase upto 53 kmpl, city rides gives around 50 kmpl avg.

I like the comfort of the bike but travelling more than an hour is not very comfortable especially 6ft tall person. Minor niggles in the bike like every time i press the front brakes there is a noise from the front suspension. Front brake pads had to be changed during my last servicing (not expected, i hope the auth dealer didn't cheat me). ill update incase of any more niggles
