Suzuki Burgman Street Latest Updates

Suzuki has hiked the price of the Burgman Street by Rs 1,800. The maxi-styled scooter is now priced at Rs 79,700 (ex-showroom Delhi). This is the first price hike that the scooter has received since the launch of the BS6 version in February. The updated Burgman Street 125 now gets two new paint options -- Burgandy and the MotoGP livery. The MotoGP edition, which was shown at Auto Expo 2020, has not yet been launched, but is likely to be a bit more expensive than the standard options.

The updated 124cc motor now makes 8.7PS at 6750rpm and 10Nm at 7000rpm. While the power output is similar to the outgoing model, torque is down by 0.2Nm. At 110kg, the BS6 Burgman Street is 2kg heavier than the older model. It employees telescopic suspension at the front and a hydraulic monoshock at the rear. Braking is managed by a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the rear. CBS (Combined Braking System) comes as standard.

The Burgman Street competes with the Honda Grazia, Hero Maestro 125, TVS NTorq 125, Honda Activa 125, the Yamaha Fascino 125 and the Aprilia SR 125.

Q. Which one is best between Tvs ntorq & suzuki burgman?
  • The throttle response of NTorq is sharp and there no vibrations even at the very top of the rev range. In fact, it is one of the very few scooters in India which can go above 100 kmph and we did see the NTorq touching the three digit mark on multiple occasions. But with the extra weight, the NTorq did lose out to the Burgman Street in outright acceleration. But the NTorq has a much better top end when compared to the Burgman Street. In terms of manoeuvrability, it is the NTorq, which feels easier to handle in traffic. You just feel a bit conscious of the bulk of the Burgman Street when filtering through traffic. The NTorq offers better ride quality than the Burgman Street. It has the right amount of balance. It takes on potholes and bumps confidently and is eager when showed a corner too. The Burgman Street loves corners; it is easy to dip into a corner and can hold its line too. But the ride quality is slightly stiffer than we would have liked. Definitely not a deal-breaker though.
  • Burgman Street is powered by a 124.3cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine produces 8.7PS of power and 10.2Nm of torque which returns a claimed mileage of 53.5 kmpl. On the other hand, NTORQ 125 comes with 124.79 cc single cylinder, 4-Stroke, OHC engine which delivers 9.4 PS/ 10.5 Nm. As for the suspension on the Burgman, it felt a bit on the stiffer side but not uncomfortable in any way. Braking isn’t great either as it lacks feel and bite, although CBS, which comes in as standard, helps shed speeds safely. While, NTORQ 125 has better suspension system and 12 inch tyres rear rear and front which gives better handling and comfortable ride. NTORQ 125 delivers slightly more power whereas, Burgman Street is better fuel efficient and light weight. Q. Is this worth buying than any other scooty - Burgman Street?
  • Absolutely, without any doubt. This scooty is number one in terms of milage, comfort, storage, looks n power. I have tested it with every possible way n totally satisfied with it. On highway with steady speed it gives milage of 56km/L while on rough driving in streets it gives 45km/L.Surely better than Ntorq which actually gives 30-40km/L. I have reached to top speed of 107km/h.My frnd h ntorq in which i cant fit my full size SBA2 helmet while in burgman, it easily stores helmet under seat.Recently during a tour i stored a 5L can and a leather jacket under seat. What else can one expect with such a huge storage. It has very refined engine. At 60km/h, i hardly feels any vibration. It feels like i am riding an electric engine.Feel free to ask if u have any doubt.
  • Depends on you, I am 6ft tall, my running 80+km daily, most of the scooty my knees touch handle Which cause problems while turning. And more importantly this scooty has dual foot board so I can utilize 💯% of available flat space for groceries. In dhanteras shopping I got 40kgs of floor on this foot board and full trunk of other groceries with me and wife onboard. What else I get 55 kmpl on the way to South Delhi to greater noida daily commute @50-60 kmph speed.
  • Yes it is worth buying and yes priyank words are right it is too good in handling and sitting posture is also comfortable and the cruiser footrest is 👍 and mamy things more...

I had a major accident with my burgman in the month of December . When after fully repaired , on 14th Feb , March , 7 kg raksack and 85 kg guy sitting behind me , we went to coorg from Bengaluru , that is 250 km and came came back forth to Bengaluru , not a single issue I face with the power Ran smooth , not a single engine issue I faced . Till now , it's one of the best scooty I have bought , value for money , mileage 53 , not a single backpain or any issues . Best part is you can comfortably mouth your leg of the forward footrest .Over all awesomeThank you Suzuki for such a product.

I like the comfort of the bike but travelling more than an hour is not very comfortable especially 6ft tall person. Minor niggles in the bike like every time i press the front brakes there is a noise from the front suspension. Front brake pads had to be changed during my last servicing (not expected, i hope the auth dealer didn't cheat me). ill update incase of any more niggles

I have bought this 2 Years back, and gave lot of lot of problems to me. Almost once in every month it get freeze. And need to call mechanic to get this started. And in rainy season, don't even think to drive this, because it's engine get cooled very easily that even after using self button it won't stop and not even with kick...Am fed up with this bike...

Suzuki burgman 125 cc I bought just two weeks earlier and done with 762 kms. I found the bike bends to right side while riding and whole weight or pressure falls in right hand. And also it is observable the handle head it not flitted symmetrically to body, it is fitted towards right. And it's from showroom found found on other bikes too.

it"s an awesome machine with a beautiful styling, features, sitting posture, wide seating space, nice cruiser footrest and a beautiful power.but there are some demerits also like*thin rear tyre results to slip off in any type of muddy or wet road in many situations. (THE MAJOR DEMERIT)*switches installed for the side lamps/indicators and headlamp/headlight are kinky to command after some month of ride as i saw in my machine.but at last other than the thinness of the rear tyre the overall machine is awesome to ride and as a rider i enjoys to ride it in my daily life routines.regards,SAUD NAFEES
