  • With the aim to build a greener, cleaner and better future, Okinawa presents the Praise. The e-scooter that redefines capability and possibility fronts for electric two-wheeler market. It comes loaded with features that no other scooter in the segment possesses. It supersedes opponents predominately on grounds like safety, feature catalogue, performance and battery range. Major highlights of the scooter include its ability to hit the top speed of 75kmph, travel range of 170-200km, Electronic Assist Braking system (E-ABS), location tracking device, Anti-theft sensor and mobile charging point. You need to shell out Rs 59,889 (Ex-showroom, Delhi) to own this highly-efficient electric scooter. Under the skin, the new Praise has an electric motor that is powered by a 72 Volt/45Ah lead-acid battery, which churns out 3.5bhp power and a massive 40Nm of peak torque. The scooter offers a range of 170 to 200Km on one full charge. The battery can be completely charged in 6 to 8 hours. There are three riding modes: Economy, Sporty and Turbo. In the Economic mode, the scooter can hit a max speed of 35kmph, in the Sporty mode it can do 65kmph and in the Turbo mode, it can go as high as 75kmph along with the full potential of 40Nm torque.   • Just have a look on my calculation given below, and then consider is it worth or not 365days in a year-53 Sunday-12 national holidays- 2 and 4th saturdays remaining 276 working days on total (1). 60/km per day i used to travel , total working days in a year 275 days, total kilometers per year 275 x 60 = 16,500 Km (2). For petrol vehicle 60 km running Rs.100/- to be spent per day on any scooter, E bikes 1 charge = 60 km , 1 charge = 2 units of electricity consumed , 2 unit = Rs.20/- day ( may differ state wise) (3). 16500 km per year running 8 services to be done for every 2000 km (Petrol Rs.1000 on avrg , E byke @750 avg) (4). LED acid battery life cylce around - 400 to 500 charges. (5). After 400 charges battery to be replaced on Praise cost appox Rs.20,000/- at present. if u take any Petrol Bike.Rs.75000-90000 Praise Rs.82000 on road . 60 km / per day, at 275 days 16500 Km per year Expense on fuel Rs.27,500.00 on petrol Rs.5500.00 on e bike, Minimum 8 service per year for every 2000km run cost Rs.8,000.00 on petrol bike Rs.6000.00 on e bike, spares per year 2,500.00 & 2500.00 i have taken for calculation .Total cost per year Rs.38,000.00 on petrol bike Rs.14,000.00 for e bike.   • I am 60 kg. Normally i carry weight depending upon what i am carrying. A pillion is a good 50 kg. Plus the usual helmet and extra crash guard. Overall weight is about 120 kg.   • As of now, it is powered by a 72 Volt/45Ah lead-acid battery. Although, Okinawa praise is yet to receive lithium-ion battery, probably this month. Coming to another query, doing a full charge of the Praise’s batteries took anywhere between seven to eight hours.     I purchased this product thinking about the rising petrol costs. Also they claimed no maintenance cost. But within a month I started facing issues. It is an electric bike and almost all of the electric items are faulty and has been replaced more than once. My bike spends most of the time in garage than on road. I am very scared of driving it on road as it may stop at any point.

    I am from Sri Lanka.I purchased okinawa praise scooter before one month.After 500km,unusual sound came from the motor.It was replaced by the dealer.One day when I was driving about 50Kmph,a dog came infront of my bike.I applied the front brake as soon as possible.But the dog didn"t hit.And when I was driving again bike was going aside.Then I went to meet service dealer.They said that the fork has been bent.They said that the front fork quality is poor.I am not satisfied with the bike quality.Other thing is 6 batteries are bent.If you can plz give a solution for these problems.

    It will get to much time to charge .Battery indicator not indicate about reserve battery storage ,just like reserve petrol tank.At the last bar indicator of battery the speed is 15 to 20.The speed indicate in display and the actual speed is differ,when at 40 speed it"s actually running at 30 to 33
