Bajaj CT 100 Latest Updates

Bajaj Auto urges all customers to immediately avail of the exciting hat-trick offer on or before the 31st August 2018. This is because one of the key benefits of this offer is one-year free insurance for customers buying a Platina, Discover, Pulsar 150, Pulsar NS 160 or V range of motorcycles. Customers purchasing these bikes before 01 Sept 2018 would effectively have a reduced outgo of approximately Rs. 4800/- on a Platina and a massive Rs. 8000 on Pulsar NS 160 on account of insurance cost.

Bajaj Auto has confirmed that the hat-trick offer will not be available from 1st September 2018 onwards.

Customers also gain from the other benefits of the offer which includes two years of free service for the CT100, Platina, Discover, V, Pulsar. In addition, customers of any Bajaj motorcycle in this period get a five-year warranty package at no extra cost.

Bajaj Auto dealerships shall remain open till 11 pm on 30 and 31st August to enable customers to avail of the offer.

Bajaj CT 100 Highlights

Specifications

Even though it is low on price, the CT100 packs a lot of punch for its size. From its puny 99.2cc motor, Bajaj is able to churn out 8.2PS and 8Nm. It gets a 4-speed transmission. Bajaj takes pride on the ride quality of the CT 100 as it is kitted out with telescopic forks and twin shocks with decent travel. To keep it cost effective, Bajaj has equipped it with 110mm drum brakes at both ends.

Design and Features

Even though it is one of India’s most affordable motorcycles on sale, the CT100 does not feel lacking for the part. Alloy wheels are a big addition to the package for which you end up spending only a little less than Rs 3000 over the spoke wheels variant. The design is simple, with a flat comfortable seat rounding off its easy-going vibe. Bajaj has played around with simple colours to keep costs low with more than acceptable levels of fit and finish.

Competitors

Hero Splendor Plus: The famed Splendor series is India’s highest selling two-wheeler for quite some time now. It is slightly more powerful than the CT 100, but you have to pay quite a bit more as well. Not to forget, Hero has a wider network for sales and services, especially in semi-urban and rural areas.

TVS Sport: Although it is named the Sport, TVS’ basic commuter is far from sporty. With a wider array of colours to choose from, the Sport is the more stylish offering in this segment.

ZigSays

At Rs 33,402 for the spoke wheels version and Rs 36,186 to spec it out with alloy rims, Bajaj’s CT100 is India’s most affordable motorcycle. In case you are severely cash-strapped and want a super-economical motorcycle, the CT100 is a good choice to consider.

I think there is issue with the petrol knob since the day one. Some times the petrol reaches the bottom on the verge to be dry when the knob is in the main/on position. I also asked the service center to check, but they say that it's working fine. Maybe that's the reason I am unable to gauge the exact mileage. My Royal Enfield 350 standard, 2000 model gives me a 30KMPL decent ride.

This is my second bike after Hero Puch, and it has been amazing. I do maintain it but one thing is sure... this is a workhorse. The 100cc engine is a gem and in city it used to give 80+ kmpl everytime.Since past few years I"m not using it, still it will get started in one kick. It may not have styling and features but what it lacks it makes it by its performance. It can go all day at 60-70 kmph and won"t compliant.I still have it and would keep it with me for years to comes.
