Editor's View of Bajaj CT100

  • Upside

Competitive pricing, Gets a generous 170mm ground clearance, Fuel efficient motor.

  • Downside

No tubeless tyres, No optional front disc brake

  • Our Verdict

Bajaj has done well in keeping the CT100 BS6 pricing low and helping it retain its core USP of being an affordable commuter motorcycle. However we feel that Bajaj could have added a few features to the new CT100, notably a tubeless tyre. The Bajaj CT100 BS6 is a good option if you are looking for an economical workhorse.

Q. Which one is better among splendor plus and bajaj CT 100 in all aspects.
  • The more durable motorcyle of the two is the Hero Splendor Plus ES, Hero motorcycles have been generally known for manufacturing durable and low maintenance, but the same cannot be said for Bajaj bikes. But mileage wise the Bajaj CT 100 ES is better. In my opinion you should go for the Splendor. Although it offers a little bit less mileage when compared to the CT 100, but it compensates for that in terms of durability and a smooth engine
  • Splendar kyu ki har jaagah usko kama ho jayga parts avalble hai pr bajaj ka hR modal me changes ke karan sirf city me hi parts milte h
  • Splender plus because I m personally using splender for more than 8 years recently bought a new one so nothing has changed in this bike except its weight so in all aspects splender wins the game

Q. How many kilometres we can ride continuously with bajaj ct 100? sir I ride continuously 170 kms. is it ok?
  • I am using Bajaj Platina 100cc (almost the same segment) for a nonstop 190-200 kms drive in a go, since several years on a speed of 65-75. Believe me it's perfectly fine. But you must keep a watch on your bike maintenance.Specially before starting any such trip you must check engine oil, brakes, chain as well as tyres. Have a safe and happy journey. The rest, Everything is uncertain. Best of luck.
  • No problem just keep going i drive non stop 350,km then have a break of a few hrs n drive back just check coolant water enguin oil n tyre pressure n kerp going
  • When start my bike it’s stopped and some time when I ride then is stop it’s feel like runs Heavy Even I have cleaned Carburettor still I’m sick of it which is my is very new only 3 month

I think there is issue with the petrol knob since the day one. Some times the petrol reaches the bottom on the verge to be dry when the knob is in the main/on position. I also asked the service center to check, but they say that it's working fine. Maybe that's the reason I am unable to gauge the exact mileage. My Royal Enfield 350 standard, 2000 model gives me a 30KMPL decent ride.

I rode ct-100(original round headlamp) 2.8 lac KM in its 16th year (regd. expired) and is running perfectly keeping in mind its age. I traveled 300-400 KM in a day several times with ease & comfort. It still gives an average of 65-70 KMPL in city riding (₹ 1/-per KM). 75 KMPL in highways at average speed of 60 KMPH. I maintain the bike myself.
