Editor's View of Bajaj CT 100

  • Upside

Competitive pricing, Gets a generous 170mm ground clearance, Fuel efficient motor.

  • Downside

No tubeless tyres, No optional front disc brake

  • Our Verdict

Bajaj has done well in keeping the CT100 BS6 pricing low and helping it retain its core USP of being an affordable commuter motorcycle. However we feel that Bajaj could have added a few features to the new CT100, notably a tubeless tyre. The Bajaj CT100 BS6 is a good option if you are looking for an economical workhorse.

  • Tvs sport is best in mileage and cost
  • CT 100 is best for mileage

Q. Can I travel 400 kms a day on Bajaj CT 100?
  • Definitely yes, if you won't push the engine to its limits. If you opt for speeds above 55 kmph vibrations will definitely start to kick in and you won't feel pleasant. Recently I had done around 600 kms ride from Chennai to Tuticorin and it took me 14 hrs to reach. I rode at 50 kmph speed most of the time and max around 70 kmph for just 20 mins midway. If you just won't push your engine you can opt for long ride in this bike.
  • Yes you can but it ill be very tiredly
  • I don't KNOW ABOUT THE NEW MODELS

Q. Which one is better among splendor plus and bajaj CT 100 in all aspects.
  • The more durable motorcyle of the two is the Hero Splendor Plus ES, Hero motorcycles have been generally known for manufacturing durable and low maintenance, but the same cannot be said for Bajaj bikes. But mileage wise the Bajaj CT 100 ES is better. In my opinion you should go for the Splendor. Although it offers a little bit less mileage when compared to the CT 100, but it compensates for that in terms of durability and a smooth engine
  • Splender plus because I m personally using splender for more than 8 years recently bought a new one so nothing has changed in this bike except its weight so in all aspects splender wins the game
  • Splendor + is good for quality and reliability because HONDA engine is reliable than any other machine

Q. Which is the best Platina or CT 100?
  • For family use Platina because of soft suspension . For rough use CT 100.CT 100 would be perfect for perfectly laid roads without pothole and riding within 55 km, Above this the vibrations start to kickin. I would suggest if you have the budget opt for platina.
  • If you are doing a job Then ct 100 is best because its average is more than platina. If you are a traveller then you can choose platina . As i said ct 100 has more average so you can choose ct 100.
  • Platina is best in all aspects

This is my second bike after Hero Puch, and it has been amazing. I do maintain it but one thing is sure... this is a workhorse. The 100cc engine is a gem and in city it used to give 80+ kmpl everytime.Since past few years I"m not using it, still it will get started in one kick. It may not have styling and features but what it lacks it makes it by its performance. It can go all day at 60-70 kmph and won"t compliant.I still have it and would keep it with me for years to comes.

I think there is issue with the petrol knob since the day one. Some times the petrol reaches the bottom on the verge to be dry when the knob is in the main/on position. I also asked the service center to check, but they say that it's working fine. Maybe that's the reason I am unable to gauge the exact mileage. My Royal Enfield 350 standard, 2000 model gives me a 30KMPL decent ride.

I rode ct-100(original round headlamp) 2.8 lac KM in its 16th year (regd. expired) and is running perfectly keeping in mind its age. I traveled 300-400 KM in a day several times with ease & comfort. It still gives an average of 65-70 KMPL in city riding (₹ 1/-per KM). 75 KMPL in highways at average speed of 60 KMPH. I maintain the bike myself.

The bike is good for daily commute. For students and others also but its styling is not that good , they need to work on the styling of the bike i am using it from past 3 years and is a good machine , although i want to upgrade to tvs apache rr 310 bike because i love the racing bikes so that's why .
