Kinetic DX EV

Price: The Kinetic DX electric scooter is available in two variants. The base DX is priced at Rs 1,11,499, while the top-end DX+ variant costs Rs 1,17,499 (both prices ex-showroom, Pune).

Design: The Kinetic DX takes strong design inspiration from the original two-stroke DX of the 1990s. It retains the iconic horizontal headlamp in a modern LED setup, along with a prominent Kinetic logo on the windscreen and three-spoke alloy wheels. It is available in five colour options: White, Black, Red, Blue, and Silver.

Features: The Kinetic DX comes loaded with features such as an 8-inch LCD instrument console, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, reverse mode, hill-hold assist, regen braking, three riding modes (Range, Power, Turbo), retractable on-board charging cable, password-protected lock/unlock, button-operated passenger footpegs, and full-LED lighting. The DX+ variant additionally gets connected features under the Telekinetic suite, which includes Find My Kinetic, Track My Kinetic, Anti-Theft Alert, Guide Me Home, Geo Fencing Alert, Seat & Charger opening, and Data Analytics.

Motor: The Kinetic DX is powered by a hub-mounted BLDC motor. The DX+ variant produces 4.8kW while the DX delivers 4.7kW. The claimed top speed is 90kmph for the DX+ and 80kmph for the DX.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels and gets a telescopic fork with preload-adjustable dual shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. Ground clearance stands at 165mm. A key highlight is its 37-litre underseat storage space, the largest in its class, which can accommodate both a full-face and a half-face helmet. The scooter also features a metal body.

Rivals: The Kinetic DX goes up against electric scooters like the Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, Ola S1 X, Honda QC1 and Bajaj Chetak.

Range: The claimed range is 116km for the DX+ and 102km for the DX variant.

Charging Time: The scooter charges from 0-50% in 2 hours, 0-80% in 3 hours, and 0-100% in 4 hours.
