The Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari are famed SUVs that have built a legendary reputation for themselves in India. Another legend in India is the Toyota Innova Crysta, which is one of the country’s favourite MPVs.
However, the Innova Crysta shares its core DNA with some thoroughbred off-roaders and is based on a ladder-frame chassis with rear-wheel drive.
Contrarily, the SUVs have the more car like configurations here with front-wheel drive. Yes, the XUV700 does offer an AWD variant but most will and have bought the FWD.
