As you might know, only two major brands are participating in the 2020 edition of the Show - Piaggio and Suzuki. In this video we are focusing on the Japanese brand and what to expect from it. Suzuki will be unveiling India-specific two-wheelers at the 2020 Auto Expo, but will not be launching any new products. Suzuki Intruder 250 is likely to make its world debut at the Auto Expo 2020 in Noida. The Suzuki Intruder 250 will be the third 250cc bike in its portfolio after the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Gixxer SF 250. The Gixxer 250 will be powered by the same oil-cooled 249cc motor as seen on the GIxxer duo.The Gixxer 250 India price is likely to retail between Rs 1.80 to 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
The other India-specific product that Suzuki might showcase at Auto Expo 2020 is a 150cc plus scooter which might fall under the Burgman family. Suzuki has been very tight-lipped about this project but we expect it to be powered by a 160cc, fuel-injected motor. The new Suzuki scooter could be called the Burgman Street 160.
Suzuki will also have some performance bikes on display at the 2020 Auto Expo and we expect to see the Suzuki SV650 and the new V-Strom 1050 ADV at the stall. The V-Strom 650 XT has managed good numbers and the company officials had told us last year that they are planning to expand their 650cc portfolio in India. The SV650 looks like a good option to compete against the Kawasaki Z650 and the CF Moto 650 NK. The V-Strom 1050 is Suzuki’s flagship and was unveiled at 2018 EICMA. It gets powered by a new BS6-compliant motor and features a bunch of electronic aids that the older bike missed. Since the V-STROM 650 XT is on sale in India, we are hopeful that the 1050 XT makes it way to India.
