Hero promised us last year that 2018 would be the year when larger engine capacities would get some much-needed attention. Since the iconic CBZ and Karizma it has been a long, dry spell. But, at the start of the year, they showed off the production version of the Xtreme 200R. It was a tall order to go head to head with rivals such as Bajaj's Pulsar NS200, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Yamaha FZ25. But Hero says, the 200R isn’t about outright performance but a fun riding experience along with a healthy dose of practicality. We got a chance to sample the 200R at the Buddh International Circuit to see what it has in store. The promise of a sub Rs90,000 price tag of this yet to be launched motorcycle adds to the intrigue.
