KTM India has launched the 2017 Duke range in India with a new addition - the 250 Duke. The 2017 KTM 390 Duke has been priced at Rs 2.25 lakh, the 250 Duke at Rs 1.73 lakh, and the 200 Duke at Rs 1.43 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
The 200 Duke gets the mildest updates, including some new body graphics, orange painted wheels and the auto-headlamp on feature. While its engine is now BSIV emission norm compliant, it still employs and under-belly exhaust as before.
The surprise entry is the 250 Duke. The bike draws its design inspiration from the 1290 SuperDukeR and its engine produces 30PS of power with the torque peaking at 24Nm – 5PS and over 4Nm more than the 200.
It also gets features like a slipper-clutch, split-frame, side-slung exhaust, open-cartridge upside-down forks and a larger, 13.5-litre steel fuel tank. In fact, the 390 Duke gets these features as well and adds tech like full LED headlights, ride-by-wire, a TFT display with KTM’s MY RIDE app and twin-channel ABS. It looks exactly like a scaled down SuperDukeR and while the engine produces the same 43.5PS of power, the torque is bumped up by two notches to 37Nm.
