Q. Should I buy Skoda Rapid, Hundai Venue, Ford EcoSport or Volkswagen Polo TSi petrol . shortlisted above car. Already know that I have short list from different segments but need your opinion.
  • The biggest bugbear for Skoda has been that despite its Germanic build and high-quality components, their reputation has suffered due to the high cost of maintenance. The Rapid is a feeling of premiumness and long-lasting solidity that is a cut above the rest. The diesel too is impressive and among the most involving-to-drive sedans in the market. The Rapid is a car worthy of your attention if you are in the market for an executive sedan and want good driving dynamics. If we talk about Venue, Hyundai has got the basics spot on with the Venue. It’s spacious enough for the urban family, it has a large boot, and it’s offering the right blend of features and quality. Both the engine options we sampled felt versatile enough to tackle the daily grind and weekend getaways with equal ease. There’s a polished dual-clutch automatic as well, that adds greatly to the Venue’s convenience quotient. At that price, it’s not just an SUV that ticks all the right boxes, it’s also phenomenal value for money. It’s among the only ones in its class that actually looks like a scaled-down SUV and not a blown-up hatchback. It offers great engines, good interiors with an appealing design and that very likeable SUVish stance. So, if you need a small SUV that has some swag, you know where to head.We would like to inform you that Volkswagen Polo GT TSI has been discontinued and no longer available in the new car market. It delivers great performance and technology which is light years ahead of it competition. This little hatchback is extremely lively to drive, is relaxing when you want it to and stays decent when you visit the petrol station. The spares are expensive and service quality perceived is not yet up to the mark. But it pains to see such a fantastic product suffer because of the after-sales issues.
Q. Which offers good performance Rapid petrol or diesel?
  • Rapid's petrol engine generates peak torque of 150 Nm which is very good for the car of its size. It gives good acceleration when engine speed crosses 1500 rpm. So if you work through gears keeping this in mind you can get a really sporty behavior by car. I have noticed on highways that with strong mid-range torque, I need to rarely shift down the gear for overtaking. I am not talking about ambitious, aggressive and overzealous overtaking obviously. Petrol version will provide all this a more gently. On the contrary, you will find Rapid diesel doing this all with ease but with a more audible engine inside the cabin. However, it is bliss when you have to accelerate and brake very often. Rapid diesel is simply wonderful here for this riding pattern. Both cars are good for mileage. However, the petrol version cannot match the economy of diesel version.
  • Diesel offers better performance and mileage . However I chose petrol due to many other factors.
  • Diesel engine

Q. Is Skoda rapid vehicle is better than Hyundai verna.??? And what is different between Skoda from Hyundai verna???
  • Both cars are excellent cars. Choosing Verna is a practical decision why let us see Skoda Rapid : this is a C2 segment sedan from Volkswagen group.Skoda Rapid is offered in 1.5Ltr diesel engine and 1.6ltr petrol engine . Verna is offered in 1.4 ltr petrol, 1.6 ltr diesel and 1.6 ltr petrol engines . Rapid delivers 103 bhp power in petrol and 108 BHP power in diesel version . More or less all features Rapid has are available with Verna .If you have budget , Wish to enjoy pure European luxury and class , drive comfort . Choose Rapid . Choose Verna if prefer strong service network, overall low cost of ownership when compared to Skoda .Next gen venta a great styles and a mixed bag of excellent elections and design style .Diesel variant in Rapid is excellent where as all variants are a good choice in Verna . Looking to Economics and Verna is a better option which is a best over Rapid . Verna can be compared with Ciaz and City
  • The Skoda Rapid not only looks European but also feels European; and that's because it is European. The new face alone gives it an elegant vibe as it draws inspiration from pricier cars instead of looking like a hatchback (Fabia). The Rapid's tank-like build quality and mature driving dynamics are its strengths, while a thin service network and high maintenance costs keep potential customers at bay. on the other hand, the new Verna has matured, and how! It’s evolved into a classy package that drives well, packs in all the tech you need (and more) and priced reasonably as well. If you’re going to be driving solo most of the time or don’t really care about the folks at the rear - the Verna is a near no-brainer. • I own a skoda Rapid since 2012. Rapid is the sturdiest and most powerful sedan around. Even after 7 years, the turbo works like magic and I can leave every other car behind looking like a bullock cart on highway if I wanted to. Seriously, I Love Rapid. My next car is going to be Skoda Kamiq! But I dount if my Rapid will age enough ever! So, Go for it!
