Aprilia SR 150 FAQs
SR 150 Key Highlights
Features: The Italian scooter is among the most striking scooters on sale in India. With its sharp lines and flashy graphics, the Aprilia SR 150 demands your attention even more so in the SR 150 Race version which gets the stunning MotoGP livery. The large 14-inch front wheel also gives the moto-scooter a stance like no other scooter and the sporty design is among the highlights of the scooter. The Aprilia scooter gets a semi-digital console and pass light switch, while the under seat storage space is shallow.
Engine: The SR 150 is offered in two variants but the 154.8cc air cooled single cylinder engine is same on both the scooters. The motor delivers 10.5PS of power and 11.4Nm of torque. On the Aprilia SR 150 Race, the transmission has been tweaked to offer quicker acceleration but the top speed of the stock SR 150 is higher. The SR 150 Race clocked a time of 6.89 seconds in our 0-60kmph acceleration tests. Braking is done by a disc brake at front and a drum unit at the back. The scooter runs on 14-inch alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres.
Rivals: TVS NTorq 125: The TVS NTorq ticks all the boxes when it comes to practicality and excitement. It offers an engaging ride experience, exceptional performance and a host of features never seen on an Indian scooter before. All this at an attractive price point of Rs 58,750 (ex-showroom Delhi). This helps it in undercutting the Aprilia by a good margin, while almost matching its performance. It certainly gets a thumbs-up from our side. Vespa SXL 150: The SXL 150 shares its engine with the SR 150 and is a more family oriented scooter. Ride quality is far better and the storage space offered is also plentiful. Basically, it can man manage all scooter duties a lot better than the SR 150.
