Triumph Daytona 660 Latest Updates

Triumph has launched the Daytona 660, the third bike to be based on the manufacturer’s 660cc triple platform, in the UK. Check out the details in our story here. The bike has been listed on the manufacturer’s Indan website, hinting the launch is soon.

The Triumph Daytona 660 shares the same platform as the Tiger Sport 660 and Trident 660. As such, it is powered by the same 660cc liquid-cooled inline 3-cylinder engine producing 95PS at 11,250rpm and 69Nm at 8250rpm. This means it makes 15PS more power and 5Nm more torque than the Trident 660. The engine redlines at 12,650rpm and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. Suspension duties are taken care of by a 41mm Showa upside-down (USD) fork with 110mm wheel travel and a Showa monoshock with 130mm wheel travel. The brake setup consists of twin 310mm discs at the front with 4-piston radial callipers and a single 220mm rear disc with a single-piston sliding calliper. It gets an underbelly exhaust and a twin-LED headlight setup.

Features on offer include a TFT instrument console and three ride modes: Sport, Road and Rain. The quickshifter is available as an accessory. The motorcycle is expected to be launched in India around March 2024 with a price tag of Rs 9.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Its rivals will be the Aprilia RS 660, Honda CBR650R, Kawasaki Ninja 650, and the upcoming Yamaha R7.
