Fortuner completely stands on Toyotas built quality. I'm very satisfied by fortuner, its a value for money car. The engine performance and overall all driving experience is pretty good. Fortuner is bit lack of modern features else everything is fine.

  • Top-end 4X4 Automatic model costs Rs 32.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The mileage you will get around 10kmpl (combined-city +highway).
Q. Hello, I am stuck in between Kodiaq & Fortuner (2.8 4WD AT). I know I will be shelling out a couple of lacs more for Kodiaq. I need your expert advice to choose between the two of them. I already have a Brio for in-city driving and I have had the first generation Octavia for 6-7 years. The car I need now is for out of city travel with my family (two kids). Also, should I wait for the Honda CRV or is that a 'no comparison'?? Thanks for expert inputs.
  • Depends what you want from your car. Go with Fortuner If u want any of the below: (a) thinking of resale value @ time of buying a new car (b) spares and repairs availability (c) known brand Go with S Kodiaq If u want (a) more value for money, including fuel efficiency (b) better interiors and pleasure of driving (c) better features including memory seats, electronic hand breaks, auto headlamps / wipers / tyre pressure checks etc (d) Wow factor on exterior and interior of the car. If u can afford the extra EMI, live it with Skoda - its a trouble free brand.
  • Any day my personal preference would be for Toyota over any other manufacturer. Kodiaq is no comparison over Fortuner especially on Indian roads. Toyota is now an established brand so no shortage of spare parts across the country.
  • Both Skoda kodiaq and Toyota Fortuner are capable SUVs but given a choice between the two, we suggest you go for Toyota Fortuner for its full-fledged road presence, Toyota brand, and more genuine sale and service network. Toyota Fortuner is also quite popular in the Indian market so there won't be any issue with spares too. CR-V, like Kodiaq, won't be able to hold against the rugged demeanour of Fortuner as this Honda looks and feels like a soft off-roader.
