The new Renault Duster is certainly an improvement over what was already a great car and the new automatic gearbox makes a lot more sense, especially with traffic getting worse in the cities. With sharp new looks, an updated interior along with a very robust mechanical package, the Duster ticks a lot of our boxes.

Driving this car is really comfortable and fun, Weather it is long tour or small city ride it's fun to drive, mileage is okayish, I got maximum of 28kmpl on highway and around 18kmpl in city, So it's pretty good for this big car, In my opinion this is a perfect family car. Maintenance cost is bit high but the build quality is.

Q. My 2018 Duster automatic getting engine off while driving doesn't take pickup?
  • Same with mine 2017 AMT. Running done only 71000 K.M.Any sugestions please.

Q. Does the 85ps duster have the fuel injector issue? I am planning to buy a used duster. Is the injector issue solved with bs6 diesel?
  • As of now, we haven't encountered any such issue with the fuel injection of Renault Duster. Moreover, the BS6 Duster is only available with two petrol engines: a 106PS 1.5-litre naturally aspirated option and a 156PS 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit.   • Duster is good , but only two air bags and The maintenance cost is very high and parts specially Shock absorbers fail and cost is very high.Hyundai should be good
  • With 6 air bags only Hyundai can give in duster you won’t get such airbags only driver and co driver check out creta for 6air bags but hill area means only duster can perform in such areas not creta so decide wise whether you want full pact safety or hill areas coz your budget is to low

Which is a better VFM car? 85ps RXS Diesel Duster or Nexon petrol XZ+?Yes, mine is a wierd comparison question since both these are actually in different segments and the fuel is also not the same!My confusion comes with the discounted price of duster since with that, the two cars become similar - price wise.Diesel vs petrol is a question to be pondered considering the BS6 norms next April...Maintenance cost is also a factor.I like Duster lookwise (Exterior and Interior) and besides, it has more space than Nexon. But I am not sure about the practical power of 85ps diesel..and I also believe it would be costlier to maintain than the Nexon.Thoughts and advices please.Best RegardsAnoop
  • Wait until April bs6 car...is the best option..as of now blindly go for the price cut and buy a mid variant duster..they offer good price cuts on all year ends...maintenance problem can be overcome by giving service at proper time ..and getting an extended warranty..ensure about replacements..ore check the car...they will not call you for service..beware..these tips are enough..engine warranty upto 1 lac...is it ok?...picture abbi bhi baki hai Mr Anoop...electric line up on the way from Renault.
  • I owned both. Duster is superb however i recommend to wait until it start to come with BS6 engine.
