If you have been waiting for the festive period to start for good discount deals from your local dealerships, your prayers might just have been answered by the Gods above. Car manufacturers are now offering discounts on various models across their range. Such offers make for a win-win situation for everybody, with the customers getting to ride home in cars at discounted rates and the manufacturers get a shot in the arm thanks to an enthusiastic customer response and a bump in sales. The list below highlights these offerings from the car manufacturers.
Maruti Suzuki:
On August 1, 2016, Maruti announced an increase in price on all models under their stable. Surprisingly, the company is now giving away good discounts on its mainstream cars. Take the Alto 800, the best selling car in India, for instance. Maruti is offering a deal of Rs 15,000 as cash discount and a Rs 20,000 exchange bonus. The more powerful Alto K10 gets the same deal and saves Rs 35,000 on the final price. Moving on to the WagonR which has the best discount deal on offer. A cash discount of Rs 25,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 35,000 is being offered. That totals up to a whopping Rs 60,000.
With the new Maruti Suzuki Swift being in the works, the current model also has a discount deal of Rs 10,000 as cash discount and Rs 15,000 as exchange bonus. The Swift DZire too has the same discount deal. The Celerio diesel variant will get you a discount offer of Rs 45,000 in total. This includes Rs 25,000 of cash discount and Rs 20,000 as exchange bonus. On the petrol variant however, the discounts are less steep. Rs 10,000 as a cash discount and Rs 20,000 as an exchange bonus. Ertiga is on offer with Rs 20,000 off the list price.
Tata Motors:
Rs 50,000 off on the Safari Storme. The savings on the Bolt and Zest sum up to Rs 45,000. On all Nano trims, a total discount of Rs 30,000 is on offer. This includes Rs 15,000 each as cash discount and an exchange bonus.
Nissan:
The Micra hatchback is on offer with Rs 35,000 off its asking price. The Sunny sedan also wears a cash discount deal of up to Rs 75,000. Nissan dealerships are also giving a discount on the Terrano SUV. A total discount of worth Rs 60,000 is up for grabs.
Datsun:
Out of the 3 cars currently on offer from the Japanese car manufacturer, 2 have cash discount deals. The GO hatchback is on sale with a Rs 15,000 discount and the compact 7-seater GO+ is being offered with Rs 22,000 off its list price.
