Maruti Suzuki To Revamp Its True Value Used Car Business

The Nexa outlets changed the way we buy cars. And the Nexa service centres have already started to transform the way we handle our cars' routine maintenance and running repairs. Now, Maruti Suzuki True Value is about to thoroughly overhaul the used cars sector.

Maruti Suzuki will revamp its used car division, True Value, to prioritise a used car buyer's needs. For starters, the display area for cars will be substantially bigger compared to a new car showroom, where only one unit of each car takes the centre stage while most of them stay safely parked at the warehouse. All the True Value outlets will share a centralised database of cars, which you will be able to browse online using the True Value smartphone app. Once you've shortlisted a few cars, you can visit the particular outlet to examine the vehicles in person and take them for a test drive.

To simplify the buying process and make the ownership experience hassle-free, Maruti Suzuki will offer certification for qualifying cars, one-year warranty and free services for complete peace of mind. The criteria for True Value certified cars is as follows:

- Less than two owners

- Less than 1,00,000km driven

- Under 7 years of age

- No retrofitted CNG/LPG kits

- Not used for commercial purposes

Each car available for sale will undergo a 376-point check up to identify issues in six main areas:

- Engine

- Transmission

- Steering

- Brakes

- Electricals

- Visual

Cars that pass with flying colours will stand a chance to wear the Certified badge and will have a better chance of finding their next home. The carmaker is planning to have 150 shops with the new theme up and running by March 2018. The first one is already operational in Dwarka, Sector 14, New Delhi.
