Maruti Offering Select Arena and NEXA Models With An Optional PM 2.5 AC Air Filter

• The filter is available for select Maruti models including Vitara Brezza and Ciaz.

• It will be a replacement for the standard PM 10 filter.

• Other carmakers like Hyundai-Kia and MG offer their models with an air purifier.

Looking at the current scenario and ever-rising air pollution, a car purifier has become a basic necessity. Maruti is now offering an optional replacement of the standard PM 10 AC air filter with a more efficient PM 2.5 air filter as an accessory for select models from both Arena and NEXA outlets. The air filter will be available across all Maruti dealerships for Rs 600

The new PM 2.5 AC filter is more efficient in terms of trapping dust and other particulate matter. It’s capable of trapping particulate matters by up to 75 percent. The PM 10 filter was roughly priced from Rs 300 to Rs 500 while the PM 2.5 filter comes for Rs 600. Maruti offers this filter for models such as Baleno, Swift, Vitara Brezza and Ciaz. 

The carmaker recommends replacing the PM 2.5 air filter after every 10,000km or once a year, whichever is earlier. You can replace the filter in case of issues such as poor ventilation, inefficient air conditioning, and longer duration for clearing mist from the windshield. Other carmakers including Hyundai and MG have offered their recent models, like the second-gen Creta and MG Gloster, with the PM 2.5 air purifier.
