It has been a week to celebrate for the Mahindra Truck and Bus Division as the achieved two milestones in the Heavy Commercial Vehicles and Light Commercial Vehicle industries. Yesterday, Mahindra rolled out its 15,000th HCV from its facility in Chakan, Pune. And to add to the celebration, they also recorded a sales milestone of 1,25,000 LCVs.
Nalin Mehta, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Mahindra Truck and Bus Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “The roll out of our 15,000th truck marks another important milestone for us, as we now have over 6,000 customers using our trucks in various applications across the country, with nearly 30% of them opting for repeat purchase. Additionally, MTBD also boasts of over 1.25 lac LCVs on Indian roads. This is a clear vindication of our engineering excellence and the brand Mahindra prowess. At MTBD, customer centricity is at the epicenter of our business and our rapidly expanding after-sales network to reach out to the last mile of our customers bears testimony to this.”
In order to develop and expand on its commercial vehicle business Mahindra is investing Rs 700 crore in the Commercial Vehicle Business with an aim to become the complete CV range player within the next two years. AS part of its expansion plans, Mahindra is also looking to expand on it’s after sales service network. Currently the company already has 66 3S dealerships, 90 Authorised Service Centres, over 2500 roadside assistance service points and over 1322 authorised parts dealers.
