The coronavirus pandemic doesn't seem like it will disappear anytime soon. And with the government extending the lockdown yet again, many businesses have taken a hit in terms of revenue. However, carmakers have been allowed to limp back to life, provided they take the necessary precautions and follow government-issued guidelines. This has prompted homegrown carmaker Mahindra and Mahindra to open some of its dealerships and service centres for booking, sales and even after-sales service. The brand has now announced that it has rolled out a contactless service experience to keep its customers as well as staff safe from the novel virus.

Apart from doorstep pick up and drop, customers now have access to a digital platform called the ‘With You Hamesha’ app. Using this app, Mahindra says it can reduce direct contact between its customers and staff. All the paperwork and transactions can now take place through the application. Customers can view their service or repair progress and even get a list of parts ordered and used, job operations carried out, and additional costs.

What could be a massive factor in convenience is the live video streaming facility. Customers can now understand the repair work by live videos from the service bay. When required, service advisors will video call the customer to explain the repair required. They can even utilise 3D images of frequently used parts to explain wear and tear.
To make things easier, customers can receive their service documents and updates through the With You Hamesha WhatsApp account (7208071495). Mahindra is expected to launch the 2020 Thar as soon as the lockdown is lifted. The long-awaited SUV will sport BS6-compliant petrol and diesel engines and will most likely be priced around Rs 11 lakh. You can read more about it here.
