Facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan Now Sold Out For Q1 2022

• It is available in one trim: Elegance, at Rs 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

• Features a panoramic sunroof, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, 30-colour ambient lighting, and connected car tech.

• Gets a 190PS 2-litre engine, paired with 7-speed automatic and AWD.

• Rivals Jeep Compass and Citroen C5 Aircross.

Volkswagen ended 2021 with the return of the 5-seater Tiguan SUV in its facelifted avatar. Fast forward a month, and the carmaker has commenced deliveries of the SUV. More importantly, the demand for the facelifted Tiguan has been such that it is now sold out in India, at least until April this year.

The facelifted VW Tiguan is priced at Rs 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom India), and it's offered in a single fully loaded 'Elegance' trim. It features Matrix LED headlamps, 30-colour ambient lighting, three-zone climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver's display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, and a panoramic sunroof.

Six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors with reverse camera, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and electric parking brake with auto-hold function comprise the safety features. 

It is powered by a 190PS/320Nm 2-litre turbo-petrol engine (replacing the 2-litre diesel in the pre-facelift model). It is paired with a 7-speed automatic and AWD with off-road modes.

The facelifted Volkswagen goes up against the Citroen C5 Aircross and the Jeep Compass.
