• Q. Which engine option is best in i20? Petrol Turbo or Diesel? How is IMT? Is it really a convenience over a manual? My driving is 80% on highways and remaining on city roads. And my monthly travel will be around 800kms.

Selecting the right fuel type depends on your utility and the average running of the car. If you drive less than 50km in a day then we recommend you to go with a petrol car as they are easy to maintain, have a longer life span and they cost less initially than the diesel car. On the other hand, diesel cars are preferred if the average daily run is more than 50km which makes it a feasible purchase. As per your requirements, we would suggest you to go with the turbo-petrol iMT combination. In an iMT, just like in a manual transmission, an actuator takes care of engaging and disengaging the clutch whenever required, based on a sensor built into the gear shifter. This technology is very new to the Indian market and is only available in cars like the Hyundai i20 and Venue, and the Kia Sonet. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.

2020 Hyundai i20 Review

No cost-cut base variant and range of options that’ll shame an expensive buffet -- Hyundai’s pushed the perception and price of premium hatchbacks up a few notches. A risky move, definitely, but so was it worth it?
