    Both cars are equivalant however the maintenance of verna will be little cheaper. if you are looking for automatic then i will give the marginal favour to honda. you can maintain honda in lesser price by getting it serviced in 6 months in place of 3 months as asked by the authorised centres. read manual carefully as the manual says that most of the things are required in 6 months only. so be aware and save money.... verdict: if i have to buy, I will buy honda city.

    Honda City the best value for money car, very less break downs and spares easily available even at remote locations...and best mileage and cheaper to maintain if compared to Hyundai cars...

    Honda is slightly more reputed...honda city is a good value for money but a good crowd of buyers do incline towards verna too
