If budget is strictly 3-4 lakh on road price then only new alto, old alto 800, alto K10, Renault Kwid, Redigo are your total options. With the hope that you are not going at high speeds and will keep a watch on fuel consumption, alto K10 is the best option. The new alto has safety features but is not fuel efficient, Wagon R will be beyond your budget. The old alto 800 is also a bargain buy assuming you still get it officially.

If you are from hilly areas and you want go with 2 3 or 4. members of your family go with k10 because if u drive it and drive wagon r u will feel difference WagonR slightly wake up from sides if u are turning at higher speeds go for petrol if you need more power less power cng needs car for city and for 5 members go for WagonR and if less members go for k10

Q. I'm confused between three cars Swift Tata Tiago or Maruti Alto K10 suggest me which car should i buy diesel

Tiago has filled the need for a smart looking hatchback that’s affordable and has a spacious, premium-looking cabin that’s loaded with features. Despite being the most powerful one, the Tiago is also the most frugal car in its class. In fact, it’s quite solidly built and the quality of materials used inside the cabin feels premium as well. On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki Swift is back to its sporty roots, with the chassis tuned for handling than outright comfort. And while the car is better than before in terms of interior space and features, the Swift is not the ideal family hatchback. Talking about Alto K10 is a good city car, offering a peppy-but-efficient engine, good drive dynamics and, most importantly, an automated-manual transmission. Maruti's legendary service network and reliability also make the Alto K10 one of the best hatchbacks. If you can’t be bothered researching and want a hatchback that does a bit of everything, head over to the Maruti showroom. Do take a test drive in order to judge the best pick as per your needs and requirements.

First you need to consider your budget and then you need to check the service and spare parts availability of above mentioned brands in your city at the nearest distance. Now coming to the question, as far as all three options are considered, looks wise tiago looks great, i didn't like new swift that much, and coming to performance, Tiago has been making its own fan base. Tata has come a long way in 4-wheeler industry and maruti has been making too much compromises in terms of safety at the cost of mileage. Now coming to petrol or diesel, you should consider average daily commute. If it is up to 100 kilometers in time period of 3-4, go for petrol and if you tend to go on long drives, go for diesel version, as diesel cars need to driven around 1500 kilometers monthly.

As a maruti car owner i know how unsafe these cars are either it is alto or either it is swift.. Therefore i recommend you to buy tiago in petrol version which is a better option in the same segment, offers better features and strong material also.
