    Yes, you get a subsidy of Rs 1.5 lakh from central govt under FAME. You also get separate subsidies from state government depending on which state you live in. In Maharashtra, state subsidy is Rs 1 lakh plus you get waiver on on road tax and registration (this can come to around 1.25 lakh). However, note that insurance amount for EVs is generally a bit higher than regular petrol/diesel cars

    @Ajit, is the FAME applicable to anyone all over India? how soon do we receive the FAME subsidy after purchase? There is no info on this in a clear way anywhere. Thank you.

    Fame-II subsidy is applicable on commercial vehicles only. Tata do not sale Nexon as commercial. So Fame-II subsidy is not applicable for TATA Nexon EV.
