Is the new s cross under powered for hill driving..

If it is the new s cross petrol,yes it's under powered,it's a heavy vehicle with less torque(138Nm),the higer gear works fine.The best scross model was the first one1.6 engine with 320Nm torque,scross is still a good car,but frequent gear shift is needed,this I find it tiring

It depends upon the driving, often changing gears, feel like pickup is laging, but in other way, when you drive at a constant speed on Highways, you will not feel the difference.

Yes, it is underpowered for high altitudes. I tried Ooty with full load, and the car won't pull easily even i first gear if you halt on an incline.

Yes, the car seems to lack a little power when it comes to highways and hills. You need to downshift the gear quite often to produce the required torque to climb. S-cross has majorly been a City car and nothing much

Excellent Family Car

Excellent family car. I love to drive this, driving comfort and seating is unimaginable. Power lag is there, but I love to drive this one. Another notable feature is its braking efficiency. The suspension is also well-tuned. This car didn't get its deserved sales in India.
