Nakul | 4 years ago7 ReplyI would suggest to go for Hyundai.. if you want good petrol engine car. In new Tata nexon we observed that engine noise is like diseal engine and though they are saying it's a turbo and all but take one test drive of nexon and Hyundai ..you will get to know difference. Gear shifting in Hyundai is very smooth whereas in nexon it's still need to give some force. So don't fall for ncap rating only... Even in terms of hardware alignment(doors, plastics), fitting, finishing and colors tata is far behind than Hyundai and Ford. So first take look at other cars and then decide.
Jibin | 5 years ago8 ReplyI would like to say that instead of buying petrol or diesel vehicles go for electric which performs much more greater than fuel engine type vehicles. Nexon itself has launched its electric vehicle. you will get good range (mileage) maintenance cost will be low. and also you can save fuel cost as you will be charging it in your home. charging cost will not go much. think we'll and opt any one
Jo | 6 years ago6 ReplyMaintenance is high and any diesel models ..Tata claims it as around 26000rs for 5 years ..with service cost aftet first free service..is like 4000rs 6000rs 4000rs 4000rs in 10k 20k 30k 40k...50000kms major service replacements are minimal in petrol.. if you change air and oil filters frequently on 10000 kms you can save money on 50000kms major service.
Qadeer | 4 years ago14 ReplyWell, don't think much... if you love the pleasure of driving than take the diesel or else if other things matter like 10 year govt s**t or sound or price difference etc then take a petrol.. i bought a petrol but now i regret.. it's heavy on pocket in a daily routine... giving 2.5 lacs in a single go is easy but spending 500 rupees extra in daily life is painful..
Shivanshu | 4 years ago1 ReplyI own a base model Nexon Petrol engine. I have tested its mileage on Taj Expressway. In ECO MODE, 6th gear and driving constantly at the speed 77-80. It gave 26.1 KMPL in the display.I believe it to be accurate with an proximity of +_ 10%. BUT in tail to tail traffic conditions mileage comes down to 10-12 KMPL.Key to get best mileage is not to roar the engine. I have tested it at 1500 RPM constantly to get best results.Driving @ 100 KM/hr @ 2000 RPM in ECO mode gives an average 19-20KMPL as displayed on the dashboard.Never tried my hand in SPORTS mode though
Siddharth Choudhury | 6 years ago18 ReplyI m a Nexon petrol owner and I get a mileage of around 10 in city condition in bangalore which mostly comprises of traffic. So, mileage is a bit less but it gives you a very pleasure ride. The comfort and drivability is very good except for the viewing angle at the A-pillar.
Mayank Pancholi | 6 years ago6 ReplyBrother Go for the petrol version. Its performance is very good and is a fantastic car. Mileage is little bit low as of my observation its 14-18kmpl depends on your driving style. Maintenance is not much its easily affordable and its a very reliable and durable car and build quality is superb in this and safety is best in this segment and a very good ground clearance of almost 21cm.

How about gear shift in petrol while riding in traffic. Does it require frequent changing of gear? With Bangalore traffic conditions it would be hectic if gear change is required ver often.
Jo | 6 years ago4 ReplyPetrol is a 3 cylinder noisy....automatic is good..good performance comes from its diesel..4 cylinder in line 4..great mileage and a nice automatic.
Aniruddha | 5 years ago10 ReplyMy petrol automatic nexon gives me mileage of 10km in city. On highways I extract up to 22km/lt by driving at 80km/hr in 6th gear and economy mode.
Soumik | 6 years ago3 ReplyDepends on ur needs if u drive less go for petrol ... Of u want excitement on driving I.e, more pickup n speed opt for diesel

Oh okay and after a accident the hyundai would just get smashed. But wait you won't be alive to see it.Ignore the ncap rating you say😒
D | 6 years ago3 Reply12 to 18 in petrol 16 to 20 in diesel in actual in city.Maintenance no costPerformance is out standing as compare to other cars in this segment.Definitely good option to choose this car.

Siddharth Choudhury | 6 years ago4 ReplyDrive quality is very good. Power distribution is not the nest specially in Petrol in lower RPMs. Maintenance is cheaper I would say. But cant say anything in long term usage.

J | 2 years ago0 ReplyI don't recommend nexon automatic. Too noisy. Sometimes hou will see rpm 4500, speed 35, still at autogear 2. Pulling is very low.
