Q. Is kick start available in Royal Enfield Meteor?

Nishant | 5 years ago47 ReplyRE Meteor i a cruiser and they must give kick starter as it is very beneficial in case of battery failure during extreme colds or if some problem occurs while cruising on highways. They are already offering kick start in classic 350 and bullet 350. There was no need to remove the kick start. It is always beneficial to have a kick starter along with the electric start in case of emergency and extreme winters to cold start the bike. I don't understand the reason why most of the companies are removing kick start in their bikes, This is not a costly feature to add on but it is extremely important in case of emergency. I own a Bajaj Avenger 220 and I have experienced the problems one has to face when there is a problem in self starter in middle of the road. I hope the bike manufacturing companies read my comment and stop removing kick start from bikes.I am very much interested in RE Meteor but the only reason I cannot make my mind to buy it is because there is no kick start on it.

Er.Sanjeev | 2 years ago0 ReplyIt is a biig risk without a kick start as self / electric start often gives up in middle of the road especialy if the battery dosent keep charging because you don't keept driving the bike enough and regularly. I faced this nightmare and disaster in my Bajaj Avenger 220 CC bike.

Yes correct , company should understand this point. I also like but due to kick I'm not able to buy

I have had exactly similar nightmare of starting problem with my bajaj avenger 220 too and thats reason why i am rather scared to buy bikes without kick anymore now.

Very good suggestion there should always be a provision for kick start in bikes
Dillip | 5 years ago4 ReplyRoyal Enfield Meteor 350 is only available with a self/electric start. Moreover, it would not be a issue as long as you keep a check on the battery and timely service your vehicle.

Does RE Classic start using a kick start ? Bcoz they say bikes above 150 CC cant be started using a kick start.

I wanted to buy r.e classic 350 but I will not buy this bike Because it doesn't have kick start

Same here too ....Avenger 220 CC was a disaster because of self starting problem.

They save bikes above 150 CC are too heavy to start with a kick start.Thats why i have confined myself to below 150 CC bikes / scooters only.
