I have heard about the starting problem in Avenger like the self doesn't work many times and you need to push bike to start. Also the noise at back suspension. Can anyone guide, please?

Please never buy Avenger. I have Avenger 160 BS VI version. Only 6months have passed and more than 10 rounds I had visited Bajaj service center for various problem. Still one after other is keep coming. I am ready to sell by avaenger at 15 to 20% loss. I am fed up this regular problems. Currently it is facing ignition issue, it's keeps going off again and again also some time fails to start.

Yes, I had faced this Self-Start issue. For better understanding, the issue is, The engine would at times not start (though there is enough juice left in the battery to fire the headlamp/signals/indicators). It either starts after 10-15 mins of trying continuously or you have to manually release clutch in 3rd gear down a slope. The reason is, Self start part(which they are saying 1 wheel clutch/ self rotor) is a bit modified in the new avenger 180 and faulty. So they are replacing the new part with the old setup that they had used for Street 150 previously. I am going to get it replaced tomorrow. Hope the issue would be sorted after that.

Don't take avenger bike. its very difficult to start the bike if battery is not working properly. Everytime i have to push my bike to start with yhe help of other people. So the biggest mistake of my life is avenger 220 cruise.

Yes, the bike is simply miserable. Everyone planning to buy this bike pls be advised not to go for it. I am suffering a lot with it's start problem. Everytime it needs to be pushed as the self won't work. Just horrible bike.

I am also facing the starting problem in new avenger 160 BS6 sometime it switched off while I was riding in main road and some time it takes about half an hour to get restarted .. now I am typing this information standing front of service centre they have changed the sensor and told me that this issue ll not be repeated as it was दूर to sensor problem ... hope for better experience and good results.. let's see ..

Never ever buy an avenger bike. It may be a long bike but remember it will drag your life. I suggest go for a bike which has got a kicker. A bike without a kicker will ruin your life. Bajaj Avenger 150 street useless in India.

I have suffered from the problem. It was mechanical and nothing to do with battery; and has been sorted by Bajaj for free. Though I paid for labour charges. Battery is good. For last 2 months, I am hardly driving 5 kms a day but still I have not concurred any self start problem.  Follow these steps Daily- Idle you bike for 15 seconds during first start and last engine switch off.

Starting problems are faced by those person who don't turn off ignition in traffic or when they are standing as avenger is having its key hole near the leg many people feel lazy or uncomfortable to frequently put i on or off because of which they face strting problem.

I don't feel so.  I have started my vehicle after week time. It started in single press.  Only once while driving, when it is time to reserve i travelled till is became dry.  That was only time it gave me trouble, fault on me.  Pillon rider will have little discomfort in suspension

It was a huge mistake that i bought this bike... i feel cheated.... a bike costing 1.15 lac is just a piece of rubbish.... it fails to start in middle of city.... service center in my city, those guys are utmost foolish persons in this world.... they weren't able to rectify it..

True I had face this problem on my Avenger 180 black colour. An one
way starter clutch problem. I had taken it to Bajaj service centre for 3 times. And 3rd time they change
the whole one way starter clutch unit. Hope it will be the solution..
