BGauss A2 FAQs
A2 Key Highlights
Price: The BGauss A2 is offered in three colours, with similar mechanicals and features across all. It comes priced at Rs 76,199 (ex-showroom India, including FAME-2 subsidy).
Design: Unlike the BGauss B8, the A2 comes with quite an unconventional design, with premium-looking fit and finish. It features sleek apron-mounted twin headlamps, motorcycle-type handlebars, with front blinkers placed right beneath them. The large pillion grab-rail exudes a utilitarian appeal whereas the flush-fit pillion foot pegs keep the side panels clean. The switchgear too comes with an aluminium finish.
Features: The BGauss A2 comes with an all-led illumination and an LED instrument panel which displays speed, odometer reading, battery level, motor/battery/brake fault alerts and high beam prompt. The e-scooter gets 3 riding modes – Low, Mid and High, including a reverse mode. That said, multiple riding modes on a low-speed electric scooter is an overkill. On the front apron, you also get a luggage J-hook and a small cubbyhole, adding to convenience.
Motor: The BGauss A2 is powered by a 250-watt hub-type Brushless DC electric motor, which gives this e-scooter a 25kmph top speed, and an estimated range of 75 km. The motor is run by a 1.29kWh removable lithium-ion battery pack. The battery is IP67 rated for water and dust resistance. The company claims an estimated range of 75km on a single charge and the battery takes up to 4.5 hours for fully juicing up. Suspension is handled by telescopic front fork and dual rear shock absorbers.
Rivals: The BGauss A2 rivals the likes of the Gemopai Ryder, Hero Electric Dash, Pure EV ET Trance, Ampere Reo and Okinawa Lite.
Variants: The A2 electric scooter is available as a single standard variant. There are however, two colour options to choose from, namely Glacier Ice and Caspian Blue.
