Taking the Isuzu Hi-Lander for a weekend getaway to Lonavala was a delightful experience. I was impressed by its 5 speed manual transmission which allowed for easy gear changes, giving a sense of control specially on hilly surfaces.But as we hit traffic on our way back to Mumbai, I found the Hi-Lander’s suspension quite not good on potholes and uneven surfaces. The lack of basic features like touchscreen infotainment or a rear parking camera felt like a big miss considering the price point.

After months of research and test drives, I finally decided to go with the Isuzu Hi-Lander. With a robust 1.9 liter diesel engine that produces 163 PS of power and 360 Nm of torque, this truck has been quite a reliable road companion. It handles my frequent off road rides with ease, thanks to its impressive ground clearance and rear wheel drive setup. The fuel economy is decent, managing about 13 km/l on mixed driving conditions which is tolerable for a vehicle of its size.The interior feels a bit outdated, lacking some of the modern comforts and tech features that competitors offer at this price point.

Best thing about this model is that its availability in vibrant shades, I got myIsuzu Hi Lander at a very affordable price from a nearby showroom a few months back. It is black in colour, imparting an attractive and classy looks. It is a perfect accommodation for quite a lot passengers that means it is family-friendly. I have already taken my car for two trips and it has really been comfortable operating and driving this model.
