The Honda SP 125 is a commuter

The Honda SP 125 is a commuter motorcycle produced by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), designed primarily for daily commuting. It offers excellent fuel efficiency, comfort, and reliability, which are hallmark characteristics of Honda motorcycles. Key features of the Honda SP 125 include a 124cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers decent power and fuel efficiency. The bike boasts a sporty and modern design, complete with LED headlamps and a digital instrument cluster for added appeal. Known for its fuel efficiency, the SP 125 provides good mileage, making it cost-effective for daily use. It prioritizes rider comfort, featuring a well-cushioned seat and balanced ergonomics for city riding. Honda's renowned build quality ensures the SP 125 is durable and reliable, and it typically comes equipped with a Combi-Brake System (CBS) for enhanced braking safety. Yashwant Singh, a verified user, purchased the SP 125 in November 2020 for ₹89,999. He has driven the bike for about 25,000 km over two years, finding it an excellent choice for daily use. He appreciates its good looks, impressive mileage of around 60 km/l, and strong pickup for a 125cc bike. However, he notes that while the bike is comfortable, it isn't ideal for long rides. Yashwant mentions that the build quality is good, though the use of plastic parts is noticeable, and he has encountered some issues with after-sales service, which he feels could be improved. Despite this, he considers his purchase to be a worthwhile investment. Another user, Anandan, who has owned the bike for three years and completed 40,000 km, reported an average mileage of 75 km/l. He has noted some drawbacks, such as the rear tire being too skinny and issues with the rear footrests, but overall praises the bike's performance. While many users appreciate the SP 125's reliability, fuel efficiency, and design, some have expressed concerns about service quality and specific performance issues, like engine vibration at higher speeds. Overall, the Honda SP 125 remains a popular choice among commuters looking for a dependable and fuel-efficient motorcycle.

My experience with Honda Sp125

Having spent almost two years now on the Honda SP125. The SP125 has always been punching above its weight in terms of its looks. It’s one of the reasons why I chose to1purchase the bike. The most impressive thing is the Silent Start. It has been two years since its release, and1it still amazes me that there is no "grrr-grrr" noise of the starter motor. You press the button, and the engine is simply on. As for the power, you get 11 HP. It is not a racing bike, but it is very "zippy" in the 0-60 km/h range. The 5-speed1transmission is smooth, although sometimes it can be a bit tricky to find the neutral position after a long,1hot ride in heavy traffic. Honda calls this bike the "Mileage King", and for once, the advertising1is not misleading. In the last two years of varied driving, half of which is done in city traffic and the1other half in open roads, I have been averaging 60 to 65 kmpl. The seat height is a comfortable, which is ideal1for me. I am an average-height person, and the ability to put both feet firmly on the ground in1bumper-to-bumper traffic is a blessing. I own the Disc Brake variant, which comes with a 240mm front disc. When1you press the rear brake, some part of the front brake gets automatically engaged. With two years and 35,0001kilometers , I can honestly say I don’t regret my purchase.

Comfortable to ride and easy

5.0

Comfortable to ride and easy to handle.Great features are introduced in this bike like high beam low beam and1dipper are consolidated in 1 button, It's shows the range it can go in the fuel left.Gives a very sporty look with considering very good1mileage.The bike also has a feature through which you can check your real time mileage which helps to increase1the mileage as well.In this bike a feature which i like the most is that it shows the number of gear you are1riding your bike real time.Due to it's build design the petrol pipe is covered which also prevents petrol1theft and can only be accessed through bike key.Top speed is also very good as it goes upto 110kmph.This bike can also be used for long rides as i have riden it to haridwar and many time riden it for more1then 100kms non stop and the bike works as it is, Performance doesn't go down after long rides. It's been 3 years1using this bike and still it provides a mileage of 60-65kmpl which is considerable very good mileage as per1the performance weight and design.Over all i am very satisfied with the bike and planning to buy sp160 in near future.

Vineet Kumar's SP125 gives mileage of 60 kmpl

Good mileage bike with smooth perform.

I purchased the Honda SP 125 in 2022 for around ₹1.10 lakh. My bike has drum brakes and comes in the black and green color, which still looks good and sporty1overall so stylish. I mainly use this bike for daily commuting, and overall it has been a good experience. The1engine feels smooth and refined, with very little vibration during city rides. Pickup is decent for daily use,1and the bike performs well in traffic as well as on short highway rides.Mileage is one of the biggest1positives. I get around 60–65 kmpl in city conditions, & upto 70 in normal ,which makes it very1economical. The riding posture is comfortable, and the suspension handles bad roads reasonably well. The1service cost is low, around ₹300 for regular service, mainly for engine oil and basic checks. Honda’s1service network is reliable, and maintenance has been hassle-free so far.Build quality feels solid, though the1bike is more focused on comfort and fuel efficiency rather than sporty performance. Overall, the Honda SP 125 is a reliable, fuel-efficient, and low-maintenance bike, ideal for daily commuters who loves style.
