Eddy Key Highlights
Price: Hero Electric is offering Eddy at an introductory price of Rs 72,000 (ex-showroom Delhi, including FAME-2 subsidy).
Design: Hero Electric Eddy comes with a modern look and has a flowing design. Its LED headlight, along with the LED DRL, is mounted on the apron. The e-scooter comes with a flat floorboard and a single piece seat, along with a backrest mounted right on the pillion grab-handle.
Features: Hero Electric Eddy comes loaded with an LED headlight and tail-lamp, including LED turn-indicators. It has a fully-digital instrument cluster with bluetooth connectivity that enables features including ‘Find My Bike’, ELock, and Follow Me Headlight, apart from the regular trove of information. The EV also comes with a USB charging port, a cushioned backrest, Reverse mode and a cruise control system.
Motor: The Hero Electric Eddy is powered by a 250W hub-type, BLDC motor, with a claimed top speed of 25kmph, so riding on one won’t be requiring a license. The motor is run using a 51.2V/30Ah battery, which takes 4-5 hours to fully charge. After a complete charge, the EV can cover 85 kilometres, as claimed by the manufacturer. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic front fork and dual rear shock absorbers. Braking is done via drum units at both ends. The e-scooter rolls on 12 inch alloy wheels, which are wrapped in 90-section tubeless tyres.
Rivals: The Hero Electric Eddy goes up against the likes of the BGauss A2, Hero Electric Optima and the PURE EV Epluto.
Range: Eddy can go upto 85 km/charge after a full charge.
