Earth Energy EV has launched the Glyde Plus for Rs 92,000 and it will reach dealerships by mid-February 2021. Pre-bookings have already commenced for a token amount of just Rs 1000 via Earth EV’s website. You can read our dedicated launch story for full details.
On paper, the Glyde Plus seems pretty promising. It makes 2.4kW of power and 24Nm of torque, enabling it to reach a top speed of 60kmph. Along with this, the e-scooter has a claimed range of 100km thanks to its 52Ah battery. The charging time of the battery is 2.5 hours with a conventional charger while it can charge from 0 to 80% in only 40 minutes with a fast charger.
On the technological front, the Glyde Plus boasts of a 5-inch digital instrument cluster that displays battery percentage, speed,and adaptive range. It also gets turn by turn navigation as standard along with LED lighting. Earth EV also has a dedicated app for its offerings.
The Glyde is aimed at the commuter segment and it’s comfortable as well as spacious. It gets CBS as standard along with front and rear disc brakes. At this price, the Glyde makes an excellent deal especially since all other e-scooters like the Ather 450X, the TVS iCube, and the Bajaj Chetak cost a pretty premium over it.
