Trion Key Highlights
Price: The E3 Trion is available in three guises: the C1, which is offered in C1 and C1x variants priced at Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,09,999, respectively; and the flagship C2, which is priced at Rs 1,19,999 (all at introductory, ex-showroom Bengaluru).
Design: The E3 Trion features a futuristic design but without compromising much on practicality. It gets dual projector LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, and large 14-inch wheels. The scooter also offers up to 52 litres of combined storage across the underseat compartment, floorboard, and glovebox, making it highly practical for daily commuting. It is available in Solar Red, Misty Green, Graphite Grey, Nova Blue, Teal Blue, and Luna White, along with optional accessories such as a backrest, helmet, phone holder, and side-step.
Features: The E3 Trion comes with a 5-inch LCD with smartphone connectivity. Its features include onboard diagnostics, a Smart Trip Planner with charger locator, turn-by-turn navigation, remote battery monitoring, charging insights, predictive service alerts, geo-fencing, dashcam support and SOS assistance. It also gets IP67-rated weather protection, and an extended battery warranty of up to 8 years or 1 lakh kilometres.
Motor: The E3 Trion is available with two LFP battery options: a 2.3kWh removable battery (C1 only) and a 3kWh fixed battery (C1x and C2). It is powered by a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) hub motor and features a detachable rear rim for easier and more cost-effective servicing. E3 Electric claims the batteries are engineered to last up to eight years of real-world usage. The C1 offers a 108km range, whereas the C1X gets a higher 165km range and the C2 gets a 128km range. Note that all the range figures are claimed, as per Indian Driving Conditions (IDC). As for the performance, the motor in the C1 and C1x make 2.5kW and 120Nm at the wheel. The C2 produces 3.5kW and 145Nm at the wheel. The C1X and C2 take 3.5 hours, whereas the C1 takes 2.5 hours - all of them to be topped up from 0-80%.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The E3 Trion is based on the new modular platform, designed to support future upgrades and multiple battery configurations. It uses a telescopic fork, and it rides on 14-inch wheels for improved stability across urban and rural roads. Brakes include drums at both ends.
Rivals: The E3 Trion competes with the Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Hero Vida V2, and Ola S1 X+ in the family electric scooter segment.
Range: Trion can go upto 128 km/charge after a full charge.
