Updated: September 2026. The Nissan Qashqai is an upcoming SUV expected to launch in India at an estimated ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom). It is expected to get 1.0L petrol engine, a manual transmission. Once launched, it will rival the Toyota Fortuner, Kia Sorento and Toyota Hilux.

Nissan showcased the Qashqai premium midsize SUV with the intention of a possible launch after putting it through testing in the country. If it makes it to our shores, the SUV will likely be brought in via the completely built-up CBU route with a price tag that will put it in contention with other premium offerings like Volkswagen Tiguan, Citroen C5 Aircross, and Hyundai Tucson. Internationally, it gets multiple powertrain options, including front-wheel and all-wheel drivetrain options.
