Despite the horrendous taxes levied by the Indian government on import cars, the market for these exotics is still showing steady growth in India and every luxury car-maker is willing to jump on the bandwagon without wasting time.
Next in line is Swedish company Volvo which plans to launch the convertible C70 luxury model in India that will come in as a CBU. Entry of the Volvo C70 means it will rival the likes of the Mercedes-Benz SLK, Audi TT, the BMW Z4 and Porsche Boxster. A bit of subtle looking design but the turbocharged 2.5 litre petrol motor pumps out staggering 233PS of power and is par for the course in its segment. The car is expected to be launched in late 2012.
