While the current trend in the auto industry is downsizing the engine displacements for smaller, more efficient  yet equally powerful motors, Ford continues to chug along with beefy motors in their home market in the US. And now, the 7.3-litre V8 motor that powers the 2020 F-250 pickup truck can be bought without the car itself!

The push-rod crate engine, dubbed as the ‘Godzilla’ by Ford, makes 430PS of power and 644Nm of torque. While this isn’t  mind boggling figures for its size, keep in mind that this engine was designed for a heavy duty truck. One of the highlights of this engine is that its push-rod engine is relatively  compact and can be installed into a range of pick-up trucks. 

The engine is sold by Ford Performance at a price tag of USD 8,150 (Rs 6.09 lakh). Aside from the fully equipped block, you get parts like the intake and throttle body, left and right exhaust manifolds, production oil pan/cooler, Ignition coils and wires, production flex plate and factory lift brackets with the motor.
