When London-based Eternity Motors made their public debut during the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, they promised big – “Every car we make is bespoke. That means you can have precisely the car you want.” By this Eternity of course was referring to interior trim, equipment, features, etc and it’s now time to put that promise to the test.
Eternity has launched their very first car, the Artemis, at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show and as ironic as it may sound, it is quite understandable for Eternity to launch a British bespoke luxury vehicle at the Beijing Motor Show especially since the Chinese fancy uber luxury vehicles, a point proved by record sales achieved by luxury car marques in China.
The Eternity Artemis is created to pamper buyers with limousine like rear legroom, heated and cooled twin reclining rear seats, a drinks chiller, iPad holders and a state-of-the-art audio system as standard. Buyers can spec up the interiors of the Artemis from a wide variety of fine leather, quilted undercarpets and boot trim, lambswool rugs, veneers including natural woods and carbon fibre. A choice of sunroofs and starlight roof lining are also on offer. The body panels of the Eternity Artemis are hand-built from carbon composite materials. The vehicle can be finished in a wide choice of colours that are available.
Firepower comes from a 4.8 litre twin turbo V8 that will generate over 600PS of power and 750Nm of torque, enough to take the SUV from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 290 km/h.
Eternity Motors has refined the driving dynamics of the Artemis through a British Engineering team experienced in motor racing led by Alastair Macqueen. The vehicle has been tested by former Formula One driver, Johnny Herbert, who is also the brand ambassador for Eternity. The Eternity Artemis is designed to iron out poor road conditions but at the same time provide a sporty and responsive ride when called for.
The Eternity Artemis is an SUV designed to take on the likes of the Bentley EXP 9 F, Lamborghini Urus and the Maserati Kubang all of which are upcoming luxury SUVs for the discerning buyer. The Eternity Artemis will be priced at £210,000 (Rs. 1.78 crore) plus taxes. The vehicle will come with a 2,56,000 km warranty.
