Of all the luxury car makers at the Mumbai International Motor Show 2015, BMW had the biggest stall of them all. What’s more, the products on display too came from varied segments, from a sports car to a luxury offering, from an SUV to two mean motorcycles.
But of these, the one that stole the limelight was without doubt the BMW M4. Launched in India a few months back the BMW M4 was priced at Rs 1.21 crore. Powered by a 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder engine the M4 coupe makes 431 horses of power and has a torque rating of 550Nm. Weighing 1,572kg the M4 Coupe can cross the 100km/h marker in just 4.1 seconds and in this phoenix yellow shade it looks absolutely stunning. BMW also showcased its luxurious 7 Series sedan. The car that is currently being used by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is the epitome of luxury and class. Aside from these, BMW had also brought the X5, 3GT and the 530d.
However, aside from the M4 Coupe, it was the two motorcycles that turned a lot of heads at the BMw stall. The BMW R nineT is powered by a 1,170cc flat twin motor that pumps power of 110PS and makes 119Nm of torque. Weighing just 22kg, the R nineT boasts of a top speed of a little over 200km/h. Alongside it, was the S1000R that sports a inline 4-cylinder engine and with 162PS and 112Nm of torque, it is even meaner than the R nineT.
BMW sure was one of the most visited stall at the Mumbai International Motor Show 2015, but as far as bikes are concerned, Triumph too made its presence felt with a wide range of its products.
